Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Here’s an odd hardtop. The strange part is the odd inlet (fuel inlet of some kind?) on the passenger door at a place that would be incorrect for a jeep.

Here’s a hard-to-find 4 bbl Offenhauser intake for the Buick 225.
“I have a 4bbl intake manifold for a Buick 225 V6.
Was being used on a motor that threw a rod.
Comes with intake and exhaust manifold gasket sets. Had a minor repair to heater hose connection but does not effect use.
Pretty hard to find these anymore, inexpensive power increase.”

According to Fred on a CJ-2A forum thread, this photo shows the tailgate that Fred purchased back in 2016.
I’m not sure there’s $2500 in value here, but maybe not everything is pictured? Still, there may be some good parts and useful documents/manuals.

These re only the side panels and doors. These could be handy if you have the remaining hardtop parts. This should fit a Sears/Allstate half-top.

This appears to have most of the elements of a Porter & Reed hardtop, except that the rear of the top is rounded. This feels like a transitional top between what was Porter & Reed and whomever purchased the company (if any one did). Early Koenig tops were similar to this, so perhaps Koenig (out of Texas) purchased Porter & Reed (out of Kansas)??
