Wish we could see more of the jeep. The Jockey Ridge Sand Dunes show here are the tallest sand dune system in the Eastern US. This area is now Jockey Ridge State Park. I’m guessin that driving over the sand dunes like the jeep below isn’t possible anymore?
I can’t tell if this is a photgraphic studio prop jeep or a movie studio prop jeep.
“Original World War II Real Photo Postcard, (An actual photograph), Postally Unused. Women in Unusual Military Jeep Studio Prop. The photo’s in very good condition, but does have a band of very fine cracks running vertically up the middle of the photo, about 1″ wide. They are extremely fine and not visible at all unless photo is held in reflected light. It has very sharp detail, better than scan”

Route 60 runs between Apache Junction and Globe Arizona. After taking the time to ponder the exact location of Canyon inn on highway 60 if it still existed today, I came up empty. Anyone know where they Canyon Inn might be or have been?
The green FC-170 appears in two Canyon Inn postcards, leading me to conclude it was a regular fixture there for a while. Note the colorful wagon in the first postcard.

The Prehistoric Forest & Mystery Hill park in Marblehead in Ohio once featured these jeep trains. I guess jeeps and dinosaurs go together? The park closed at the end of 2010 based on what I’ve read. There is no date associated with the below card.
Since we are in New Mexico for a few days, I thought a Postcard with an old flattie would be appropriate. Can’t really see much of the jeep though.
This must be a British jeep! Steering wheel is on the “wrong” side.

Here’s a jeep tram that is pulling tourists along the Huntington Beach Pier.
I’m really wondering about the text on the back of this card. I can’t tell what it is promoting. The title claims this is Bruce Minard a gold prospector in Red Hill, Mojave, California.
“NICE UNUSED STANDARD-SIZE CHROME POSTCARD……..1950s/60s ERA……IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.”
This RPPC or Real Photo Postcard was taken near Atlanta, Idaho. Though I wanted to check out Atlanta, I never made it while I lived in Idaho. It’s lodged in the remote hills north east of Boise. Founded in 1855, it still has a post office. It seems it had some other claim to fame, but that bit of trivia escapes me at the moment. You can learn more here.
Here are some neat photos of buildings in the tiny town from Flickr
