(08/13/2016) Dan spotted this truck named “Mona”.
“With a very sad heart I am putting up for sale my 60 willys pickup, “Mona”. I have to many projects and to much credit card debt so I am letting her go. I did a frame off restoration on Mona in 2009. At the time I replaced every thing to original shape accept the seats and pedals. It has ford hydraulics in it so it has dual reservoir brakes. all gauges work but at the time the original fuel and temp are disconnected for after market gauges. At the time of the restoration I only did a minor engine rebuild, rings, cylinders, lapped valves and new seals and gaskets. So for the past 7 years I have driven her on weekends and plowed my drive way in the winter, took trips to the hills or dump. I have put about 3500 miles on it.
She starts and runs every day rain or shine, hot or cold. It does leak as every willys does so you have to watch the oil. The paint has faded, it has surface rust on the frame, springs and a few spots on the body but this is one of the straightest and cleanest willys pickups your will find. It also has a dual gas tank control and I have an extra tank for it to install. The tank in it is a new plastic willys tank. This is a very tough decision for me to let go so if you are thinking i am going to drop the price and wheel and deal, don’t waist your time. I am an avid willys owner and I know what the value of this truck is and it is more than I am asking.”
This has a good old-time-jalopy look to it.
“Hello all- I need to make time for other projects and have to let this one go. It’s a 62 Willys Jeep pickup. Same body from late 40s. It’s already chopped, dropped and tunneled. Lid is ready for a ragtop or a fill in. Doors shaved on exterior but interior handles still work. Not finished but not a total basket case. 230 straight 6 engine runs but needs tranny rebuilt, tires and brakes. Fun little project and not much to get ready to roll. Leave it ratty or go full out hotrod with a different grill and paint. Have pink and it IS registered non op with matching frame and body tag. Price is FIRM ( it has more than that in body work) NO TRADES.”
No pics provided.
“Totally rebuilt, to much to mention. Call if you want more info or more pictures.”
Tim spotted this truck. Not many this rust free that run at this price in the Northeast!

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000.
I love this funky jeep. Looks to have started life as a CJ-5 or M-38A1. Then, someone with a welder and torch got a hold of it. Just bring it back to life and keep as is. It’s a great conversation piece of nothing else.
“I have for sale a jeep that I have used at my hunting lease. It is a tough vehicle that is entirely metal. It has both high and low 4 wheel drive and a hoist on the back. It has some slop in the transmission that can be fixed with adjustment of the yoke in the three speed on the floor. It has a Ford Falcon engine. It has been sitting in my barn but it was running when I drove there. Tires are good and the fuel tank is a new tank that I have in the rear cargo area. I replaced the carburetor a few years back and runs fine. Will make a great jeep for a hunting lease or just to drive around a ranch. There is no title and I don’t know what year model or make it is! I am told that this is a form military jeep but I don’t know what era it is from.”

I got from 2nd owner of close to 40 years.
Interior dash straight not cut, has all gauges and radio

Bed of truck is straight and solid, I have the tailgate also in amazing condition, needs a few pieces of hardware to mount
I have a California title with it.

If you see it you will want it, don’t miss out
