A rare Willys Cargo-Personnel Carrier is about to undergo a restoration by the Ione Parlor of the Native Sons of the Golden West. This one is in pretty rough shape and sports the 6-226 Hurricane Motor. However, the running gear had already been gone through.
Information and specs beyond the brochure are difficult to find. Even good photos of them are rare. If anyone has any additional information on these, email Robert at buckydodle@yahoo.com.
Below are some pics of the jeep:

“This is not a show vehicle but a solid reliable daily driver. I have had the truck for about 13 years. It was originally licensed in Colorado and when I purchased it in Cincinnati it was in original condition but not drivable. It had been repowered probably in the late 60s early 70s with a 1956 Ford Y-block V-8, a not uncommon repower choice in those days. I changed the distributor, plugs and oil and have driven it about 20,000 miles since.
The drive train is original: Dana front/rear axels (front lockout hubs)
T-90 trans/T-18 transfer case rebuilt
Overdrive Warn aftermarket rebuilt
Brakes original/rebuilt
The electrical system is 12v, alternator with new wiring. Paint and Rhino liner new in 2003”

Runs and drives (around the yard). Still, appear pretty solid.
“Professionally rebuilt 226 Hurricane engine with approximately 50 miles put on it. New brakes. Four wheel drive. Tired of seeing it parked. It needs a new home, one that can give it the loving care it needs. Driven weekly around the yard. The grand kids love it. Well worth the price. $4000 OBO

It has some very slight light green(?) pin striping.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8500.
How about this beautiful truck!
I am selling my 1949 Willys 2 wheel drive truck. This truck was found here in the Helena valley a few years ago. It has always been a local truck and was in totally original condition with 46,000 miles on it. Willys made very few of these. The two wheel drive was an option and four wheel drive was standard. They are very rare in this condition. I obtained it about 4 years ago and began a frame off restoration. It was finished this year in June. I did not restore it to totally original but kept it very close. Some improvements/upgrades were made.
It has the original 134 Go Devil flathead 4 cylinder engine and T90 3 speed transmission. The engine has great compression and the valves are good. I added an electronic distributor and custom header to it and it runs like a top. I removed the original oil bath filter and added a reusable K&N type. I also removed the old oil filter and added a remote setup with modern spin on filter. I replaced the original fuel pump and went electric pump and a new poly tank and modern sending unit. The 6 volt system was replaced with a 12 volt system and new alternator. I put in a brand new radiator. A new master cylinder was installed and I rebuilt the steering box with new gears and seals.
UPDATE: Still Available.

Jiro wanted to share photos of his 1962 willys farm based pick-up with 31,000 original miles. It has a garwood conversion as shown in the brochure at the bottom of the post. Everything is original except that the oil canister has been converted to a standard oil filter set-up, and it is now a 12 volt system. Also, the original gas tank has been replaced with an all aluminum tank. Other than that all factory installed equipment still works and nothing was replaced.
As you can see, Jiro’s got a really nice place to drive it in Hawaii.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000
Ran when parked. Has a hunting lift in the rear.
“This truck has not been run in several years. It was running fine when I parked it. Since its been parked the critters have chewed on wires, the clutch has become stuck &brakes have gone away the up side is that all 4wd works great. I replaced three on tree shift trans with floor shift unit ,gearing in low range is 588 to 1. Also has a custom built hunting rack which can be used in high or low position while still leaving the bed open for gear etc. this jeep needs a little work here and there but will go anywhere you point it”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5500.
Seller notes it could us a little work.
