Or found this Tander for sale (thanks Or!). The exchange rate puts the price on this at about $10,000. I still a bit shocked I haven’t seen any original literature for these yet. That’s reminds me .. I need to build a special page for these ….

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
“Excellent Willys Jeep with Rear PTO Belt Drive thing for farm work! Just the Complete PTO setup is worth $2500 So I am tossing the rest in for free!!! As you can see it has been modified over the years. Looks like a willys truck nose, a Vauxall car cab, and a custom metal bed for cord wood. The only jeep stuff that looks original: PTO stuff, Frame, axels, engine, transmission. missing radiator. I don’t want to part it out, that way somebody can mod their jeep with these parts and convert theirs over to a AG Jeep. Engine looks complete with distributor, starter, and carb. I haven’t tried cleaning anything or try to turn anything over (The guy from Pawn Stars told me not to). ”
Tim wrote me the other day to tell me that he’ll be officially launching his willysjeep.com website on January 28th, 2010.
He writes, ” I Just wanted to let all 4 wheelers know that www.willysjeep.com will be coming on line in about a week. Its focus is on the advertising literature and manuals of the Willys Kaiser era, all in Hi-Res for downloading. It has many free resources geared to the Willys Jeep owner and the general forum is available to anyone who has an interest in 4 x 4’s. Free information, live chat, photo storage and blogging space are all there as well as many military manual downloads and Willys factory videos, etc. I have been involved with Jeeps for 47 years and it is now, in my retirement, that I can share my printed collection and passion with the world. Hope you have some members that can stop by.”
So join Tim (virtually) on the 28th for his official launch! Best of Luck!
I can hear Kevin already …. This sure looks like a solid wagon. I think someone will get a great deal with this.
“I have a 1956 willys station wagon, it needs a new motor or rebuild, I lost the title so no title but I can write a bill of sale, it would make a good project, I am asking 1000 but am also up for trades, I am looking for a running vehicle to get my family around, if you have any questions feel free to contact Paul 719-360-3054 eastridge_p@yahoo.com”
Jalopy Journal has a short thread with a variety of pics. The wagon that caught my eye is shown below, a creatively constructed ‘party wagon’. I love it! There’s a few more pics of this at the website.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000.
(12/20/09) I’m not sure if this runs or not.
“I am selling my 1956 willys wagon it has the original 6cyl supper hurricane motor 3spd with factory electronic over drive. when i got it the restoration had been started so all the chrome is off and the inside panels are off but all of the parts are in the wagon, even the original wood slats in the back and i have a few other misc parts and some owners manuals as well i am pretty set on my price any offers please have cash and in person i don’t want to trade”
I wish I had found a complete picture of this truck from Camden, NJ, but it appears we’ll have to make due with a partial image. I think that’s supposed to be a wooden typewriter on top. Here’s the original link.
“Sitting on the wall are Mr. Robison’s nephews and niece, Tony, Annamarie and Joe Di Paola Jr. In the background, parked on the Haddon Avenue side of 964 Pine Street is the Willys truck belonging to Robison’s Typewriter and Cash Register Repair.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4500.
This looks in great shape.
“Restored 1961 Willys Jeep Stationwagon. Koenig PTO winch. Stock Super Hurricane 6 engine, rebuilt 5000 miles ago. Original. Interested parties”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000.
Here’s the foundation for an interesting project.
“1959 willys jeep chop top, needs tlc 1.000 or best offer . no engine . 4 speed trans 4 wheel drive ..duel wheels .. very solid jeep and head turner”
It sure looks nice. I can’t see any rust in the pics, as they are small, but the seller says there is some.
“This is something I promised myself I would never do, but I need to sell my pride and joy to be able to get into a place to live. She is a ’51 Willys Wagon, all stock except motor which is a mid 70’s chevelle 307, which needs a head gasket due to a freeze she endured while in the middle of a nasty divorce. The body has some rust, due to living on the Oregon coast for a time. But it all can be fixed. She has a Warn over drive, professionally tinted glass, Boyd wheels and Warn hubs that you swap for off road use or hwy use. New MagnaFlow exhaust from the manifolds back. I have all the paperwork for her that came from the man that did the restoration before I got her.She has back seats as well. Like I said, I don’t want to let her go, but I have to do something to get my family by until steady work comes along. She has never seen mud since I never wanted to hurt her. If you are interested, please email me at cudagirl@hotmail.com. I am asking $3,000.”
UPDATE: Now $1700
(12/17/09) This doesn’t look to bad.
“2WD Bought for a family project that unfortunetly has never gotten underway…. This is the real deal, ITS ALL THERE!!! Never been taken apart, never, “restored,” and in great shape. Its been warehoused for the last ten years, and has not been on the road since the 80’s. It’s straight but has rust, Black plates, clear title – non op, 100% unmolested – Dash is untouched, roof is solid. A great candidate for restoration. This is a PROJECT….. there is rust in the normal areas, but the exterior skin is in extremely straight condition. Available to show Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. 1700 obo”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000
Some serious mods here.
“I have a 1954 Willys wagon mounted on a 1 ton chevy truck frame. It has a front dana 44, rear 14 bolt , 400 tranny, and a 205 case. The motor is a fresh 454 bored 60 over,10.5/1 comp. forged pistons, eagle crank and I beam rods, comp cam, completely redone steel heads with 2.19 valves and roller rockers. Lots of other extras done to the motor. It has an aluminum radiator, B&M shifter, Mastercraft suspension seats with 4 point harnesses, and a rear seat with 3 sets of belts. The tires are 40 inch tall tractor tires mounted on 16″ wide wheels.I am asking $5,000.00 for the complete truck . I will sell it as a roller for $2,000.00 (no motor, trans, case, or tires) . I will take $1,000.00 for the tires and wheels.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
This looks like a good price, depending on the work that’s needed.
“1947 Jeep willys station wagon. 2 wheel drive, power steering, 289 ford with c4 tranny. Runs and drives but needs work. Good body, good glass. In person transactions only. ”
This wagon looks in good shape.
“A nice clean willys that runs good and has alot of upgades and mods to it. chevy 350 engine with 400 auto tranny, power steering, lifted on 33s, leather front seats(heated also if you hook it up), newer paint job, a good heater that blows hot. I have some spare parts laying around also. doors, windows, handles, stuff like that.very fun to drive and gets lots of looks.”
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $2200
(12/22/09) This might make a good resto project.
“Looking for a good home!! Here is a great find that needs some restoration. Southern car/ runs fine/ needs brakes. Other than the rear bumper, the body appears to be original and in very good condition. Floor does need some work. Engine is a big Chevy straight 6 and runs strong. Transmission wheel drive shifts and works smoothly. All doors and windows are tight. Steering is also very tight and smooth. Newer shocks and tires. Four wheel drive. This is NOT a rust bucket – just an antique wagon looking to be beautiful again!!! $2,200 OBO. Also have several parts that could be included.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $900
The seller has attempted to be honest in noting that while it might look similar to a Maverick Wagon, that look was not original. That said, the suggestion of using NADA as a guide for pricing this suggests the seller may have an unrealistic price in mind.
“1960 Willy’s Jeep Rear Wheel Drive Station Wagon / 83,000 Original Miles / MUST SELL BEFORE 1-20-10 FOR BRO
• 83,000 original miles
• Original 4 Cylinder Flat Head Engine
• Three speed manual w. overdrive [original 60’s Jeep transmission, not original to this car]
• Custom ‘Maverick’ paint and side trim package [‘period’ but not original]
• Chrome grill and hood ornament
• Excellent heater/defroster
• High quality contemporary AM/FM radio w. cassette and four speakers
Third owner, in excellent restored condition until stored outside on dry asphalt for four years. He now needs a new home where he can have the following:
• Valve job
• Repair of a leaking brake line and a new battery
• Replacement of lower door panels, rocker panels, the hinge and skirt for the lower tail-gate, the body mounts … all readily available at reasonable cost
• A fresh repaint
In the last picture you will see Willy as he appeared prior to going into storage … and to return him to that condition … the above is all he needs to keep his next family smiling for another 20+ years.
Look at Willy’s low original mileage, his excellent condition above the rocker panels, and the NADA values and other Jeeps on the internet … then make a reasonable offer … and Willy can be yours!”
