(09/27/2015) “Very nice flat fender Military Jeep.. Runs good. Solid body. Appears to be very original. 4 wheel drive works great. The M38’s will go just about anywhere. Not much bigger than a 4 wheeler with way more torque. One of the absolute best vehicles off road. Not the best on the road. Great for a cabin or hunting. Has near perfect olive drab cloth top as well. No doors.”
MB body or replacement?
“Running and driving 2.3 motor 3sp floor high/low transfer case 4×4 seeing what’s out there interested in a utv/side by side or enough cash! Clean title”

Seller believes this may be an M-606. I’m not seeing it.
“I am selling one of my favorite toys, a 1953 Willys Jeep I bought to display with my M1009. I bought it as a M-606, all indications are; It probably is. The M-606 was a Willys pulled straight off the assembly line and modified. The only thing that positively identifies some of these is a stamp on the frame and I have not located it.
At some time in it’s history it received a Buick V6 conversion. When I bought it, it was camo’ed like everybody dose. I was trying to paint it back to the 1950’s era Olive Drab, as it would have been. During sand blasting of parts I found red oxide and the mustard yellow primers used on MV’s. It has a PTO driven 12000 winch on the front. Pental hitch and blackout light on the fender, two jerry can mount on the factory, full roll cage, four jerry cans, a stretcher, cot with a wool blanket, and more extras available.
Now for the bad news;
It’s all beat up and I’m leaving it that way, it has character. It is UGLY. I don’t have the combat rims that would have been on it. I don’t have provenance to show it’s history so I’M SELLING IT AS A CJ-3B, OB HIGH HOOD for $1500! cash only, no trades, no payments. If I could prove it’s a M-606 it would be much higher. It needs clutch work and breaks, I drive it around the yard, start it in gear and kill it to stop. I haven’t been able to start it this near, no spark. Passenger side of the windshield is cracked. Windshield mounting bolt broke off in the mount.
I am not going to flower it up ’cause it is what it is.
I have a Colorado title,”

Looks like the top has been removed. Might be an interesting project.
“It’s a project. I had it running about 6 years ago. Make me an offer.”

Still some work left. Appears to have an M-38 body? I can’t tell if there is a battery lid or not.
“90% rust free body. Rebuilt 289 needs a new starter to run. Needs finished. I just don’t have the time or desire to finish it at this point. I do have the title. Bring a trailer. It will be a neat little project when done. Make offer”

Runs, but needs works.
“I am selling my 46 willys cj2a flat fender. It has a chevy 283 v8 in it, t90 transmission, dana 18 transfer case, dana 25 front, and i’m not sure on the rear axle. The motor fires up and runs great and its driveable with working brakes and clutch, however the vehicle needs some work. The Water pump leaks bad and needs replacement, the t-case leaks oil and could use a new t-case input shaft bearing (little noisy at higher speed), also needs a front drive shaft. Other than those bigger issues just general upkeep like going over lights, brakes, and making sure everything it secured properly before trusting it for a trip and also fixing the windshield. I haven’t owned it that long so can’t tell you too much on it’s background, but safe to say it was someone’s hunting rig and they plated the back end of the body from the gas tank back. It looks pretty good actually and wouldn’t dent in easily when wheeling and gave a solid mount for the gas can holders and ice chest rack on the back. It also has a small back seat with storage underneath. I have a clean non-op title so no worries there.”

Both for $320.
“I have two original combat rims in take-off condition. Both look to be in good shape. However, buyer is responsible in making sure these are structurally sound before installing in their vehicle.”

Transmission and transfer case in working order. Has after market hubs as well. Does have rust in hat channels and other body issues but in repairable shape. Newer reproduction gas tank under non original seat. The frame seems to be in really good shape. Stock axels front and rear. This is a good start for restoration. Did a quick trip to Seattle. Just a few updates today. Back on Monday.

(05/10/2016) The hardtop looks in good shape.
“Old original flat fender Willys Jeep great old project or parts have a lot of parts come with this just not on. This has a clean clear title. Serious offers only Phone calls only I’m listing this for a good friend”
I spotted this video on Facebook, but then it disappeared. It took me a couple hours to track it down again, discovering it was called BASIC TRAINING OF GLIDER BORNE TROOPS 78804. It’s a cool 1/2 hour video on loading equipment (first a trailer, then a jeep) aboard a glider. Some good knot techniques, too.
It includes a plow, too. The hardtop looks unusual It might be a halftop version of a “Keyes” hardtop, so called because the similar full version has a Keyes sticker on the back of it. You can view side and rear views of it on the CJ-3B page (See Derek’s description of Steve Dunkel’s jeep here). Anyone know more about these tops?
“for sale 2-willys jeeps both engines run but only one has title can make one useable out of the 2 plus have extra parts also one has snow plow that goes with.$2200 for everything.”
