Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is a 1954 near mint condition M38A1 Willys Jeep. This is the waterproof model of the Willys Jeep. It is in fantastic condition and except for a few upgrades and/or repairs that have been done over the years it is in original condition. For instance – New canvas top, starter, brake light on the back, overdrive was installed ( a $2,000+ addition), seat belts added etc.
This is the military 24 volt system. Has black-out lights, waterproof screw-on wires, rear canvas seat, also installed a hidden kill-switch so it can be parked in public. Original mileage 19,632”

That roll cage might be for a flattie based on the front loop bends.
“Jeep cj 5. Picked this up on another deal and have no need or want for it. Here is what I know, it cranks over strong but no spark, body in good shape some rust and bondo in right rear but metal feels straight so not sure of why there is filler, rear tire holds air about 3 hours. Someone put new springs and brake lines on somewhat recent. Looks to be all original underneath. In good shape overall and I don’t think it would take alot to get on the road. May consider part trade.”

Runs, but needs work.
“Its an almost completed project, it runs and drives .
It has a rebuilt Chevy 283 out of a 1960 Bel-Air that purrs like a kitten!
Custom 16″ wheels with like new 235/85 R16 Cooper Discovery Tires.
What it needs:
The Carb. needs to be rebuilt.
It has two cracked windows.
Needs a speedometer.
I spun the brake line about an inch from the Master Cylinder while putting a new one on. A double Flare tool would fix that in just a couple of minutes.
The seats need to be reupholstered. Very easy to do!
Missing Body Trim.
And the lights need to be hooked up.
The only rust is on the driver and passenger floor boards.”
