Interior could use some polish. Outside looks great.
“We have owned this car since 1991 and it has been well maintained.. Within the last dozen miles or so, professionals have installed a machine shop rebuilt Willys 6 cylinder F-head engine and cylinder head. In addition, all clutch components have also been replaced. Has new seat covers, 3 original and 1 duplicated.”
Has a few unusual features, but looks solid. MIght need some brake work.

“Jeep was acquired for a restoration project and stored in an enclosed barn for the past 10 years.
I have come to the realization that I will not be able to get to restoring it. It has a lot of potential as it comes with the original motor, drivetrain, frame and body. It has areas of rust and missing the fuel tank. The jeep is loaded with “f” marked parts and has all original Glove Box identification plates.
A great project. Jeep does not have title, but will come with a bill of sale and copy of the original bill of sale.”

“YOU ARE LOOKING AT MY 1964 JEEP FC170. IF YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE AND STUMBLED ACROSS THIS AUCTION CHECK OUT THEFCCONNECTION.COM. I HAVE ONLY SEEN ONE OTHER OF THESE TRUCKS IN PERSON AND IT WAS A FC150, SHORTER BED AND SOME OTHER THINGS. ONCE I SAW IT I KNEW I HAD TO FIND ONE. THIS FC SPENT MOST OF ITS LIFE IN CALIFORNIA WHICH IS WHY IT IS SO PRESERVED. I WAS TOLD IT WAS A CAMPER WHICH IS WHY IT IS IN SUCH GOOD SHAPE. MILEAGE SHOWS 25K AND I BELIEVE IT TO BE FAIRLY ACCURATE BUT CAN NOT GUARANTEE THAT. IT HAS BEEN SLIGHTLY CUSTOMIZED.
The rear wheel-wells have been altered.

There are M-38 (dash, tailgate, grille) and CJ-3A (no battery box, cj gas inlet) elements on the body. Not sure what’s going on here. Seller lists as a CJ-3A.

I have left the postal service and was going to restore it but it just seems to sit there. So I will pass this fun to drive Jeep on to you. It has a mail tray that can be removed if you want to use it for other than mail. Its a white 1978 with a 6 cylinder engine and is amazing on gas. CJ5 F. The axles are complete as far as I know, but came with a spare set of repeza jointed front axle shafts. As well as the front and rear driveshafts.

(07/11/2010) “Well-modified vintage ’47 Willys Jeep CJ2A – popular engine conversion and upgraded brakes : running 3.8-Liter Buick V6 231 with new Chevy disc brakes up front all new parts for the original 9 inch drums. Improved handling courtesy of Saginaw manual steering inluding a tilt GM style column from a CJ7. Spring over lift using original springs with new Skyjacker Shocks and Ubolts. Fenders and hood have been removed for convience. T90 transmission rebuilt for the engine conversion — mostly new internal parts just needs installed along with your choice of clutch activation. Many new or refurbished parts. CLEAR TITLE (not common for a 1947 jeep). This is the old flatfender jeep everybody wants!.
Why such a bargain price? A few parts are needed and some just need to be put back on.
Extras (negotiable):
– second Buick V6 (disassembled)
– 2 soft tops and doors (plus another set of white soft doors)
– additional transmissions and transfer cases.
– 2 T90 advanced adapters
– GM bell housing adapters and a Novak Ford adapter
– T 14 or 15 transmission

Window side curtains require new plastic and welting. All new electrical wiring is contained in front

“This is a 1953 MB this jeep spent its life going up-and-down a local hill in Porterville it has the rare dual rear wheel axle put in by dealer at time of purchase that 134 which is the flatbed turns but does not ignite I believe needs new coil I have not tested it yet the tub of the jeep rear corners are in rough shape see picture $1500.00 OBO”

“1946 Willys Jeep with original flat head engine. All original tub, fenders, hood, and windshield. All original instrument panel. This vehicle runs and drives. Significant tune up including cap, rotor, plugs and wires recently replaced. Gas tank re-lined. Brake shoes and master cylinders replaced. Passenger side windshield is cracked. Body is in very good shape. This car is parked in Southern Maine (Old Orchard Beach). Only seriously interested calls please to set up an appointment.”

“This classic historical convertable is a 1949 Jeepster. First Jeep for the public after WW2. It is beautiful. The engine is the flat head 4 with 63 HP. Long stroke gives it good power. “Very clean 1946 Willys CJ2A. All original except an important upgrade to a dual reservoir master cylinder (for safety purposes). Excellent working condition, I have done all the work on it over the past 3 years… fairly extensive restoration and has been painted in its original colors; Pasture Green with Autumn Yellow wheels. Paint is not perfect 8/10. Body is rot free thought there are certain areas where rust was once a problem. No shakes or wobbles at speeds in excess of 60+ MPH. Flathead 4 cylinder is reliable, leak free and powerful. I use it the way it was intended to be used when it was built in 1946, it’s a work vehicle but it is maintained properly. No mechanical issues: holds good oil pressure, no overheating, 4wd works, etc.”
