“Up for sale is a great restoration project. 1946 willys cj2a. It has a clean tittle and current reg in my name. It has it’s fair share of bumps and bruises but it is a driver and could be a daily driver if you want it to be. All stock running gear except for the engine. It has a 283 small block chevy with a adapter to the 3 speed and rare factory overdrive. You can drive it 55 no problem. It is a project but it is a driver as well. Also has a old all aluminum arctic top for the winter. All lights blinkers and gauges work as well. All new brakes too.”

“Up for Auction is a set of 11 inch backing plates off an early 70’s cj5. They are hard to find parts. Use to upgrade you Willys jeep to 11 inch brakes to improve safety, and to add self adjusting brakes. This will fit the front or rear axle.

These backing plates can be used with the Willys mb, ford gpw, Willys cj2a, cj3a, cj3, cj5, m38 m38a1, and m170. These will also work with international scouts or any vehicle running the dana 27 or dana 30 front axle.”

I bought this jeep last august to fix up and drive and as a hunting wagon. the jeep does run and their is no slack in the transmission, I have started it and drove around my pasture. The tires are in good shape, the slave cylinder is froze up and the fuel tanks probably need to be replaced. But overall it’s a very nice jeep. Wouldn’t take much to fix it up and make a very nice lil vechile.”

Paul forwarded these pics to consider. The moral is, always follow a half track!

“Last Saturday I visited the local military vehicle show and I saw an amazing sight.  Among the various military trucks, Jeeps and one half track on display there was a Willys  M 38 which had suffered a bit of body damage when the previously mentioned half track didn’t quite stop soon enough.  I don’t know the reason for the meeting of these vehicles but the attached pictures show the results of contact between one very light and one very heavy military rig.  The poor M 38 got the worst of this bump but the half track also suffered when it received a scratch in the paint on the front drum.  Sad to see but I don’t believe anyone was hurt.”

He writes, “My dad spotted this nice 3B in Villavicenio, Meta (Colombia). It seems
to be used for work or daily drive, the yellow plate means is registered
as a regular car. The white top looks nice and goes well with the
tires. However, it seems a little larger than normal. It seems there is

“Up for sale is a 1962 Willys Jeep FC Forward Control Flat Bed Truck 4X4
Mercedes Diesel Engine pulled from a 1984 300D.  Will drive and we’ve taken it up to about 50 MPH at which time the steering feels a little weird.  Not sure if the steering wheel is loose or it just feels weird due to it being raised (37″ tires).  Its definitely still a project with all the parts here & the major work already done. Registered in California through FEB 2015.

Known issues:
-4X4 Cable needs to be connected
-Drivers window is in door but doesn’t close
-Brake fluid leak
-RPM gauge is not connected
-Steering feels loose at high speeds”
