This doesn’t run. It was a column shift at some point and appears to have all three data plates. Not tool indents are evident though.
“I have a ’46 Willys CJ2a in good condition for sale. It was running smoothly before winter and will need a little tlc to get it back to running after sitting for a few months. Most parts are original, I know for sure the electric has been updated, 2 sets of brakes have been upgraded to disc brakes, gas tank has been replaced, and the column shifter was moved to the floor. I am not a mechanic but you will likely need to do three things to get her back to running: bleed the brakes, charge (maybe replace) the battery and check the fuel line.
Things that I know need work:
Some of the gauges need work, specifically the fuel and speedometer.
There is slight rust, but nothing bad.
I’ve driven it around town without any problems and gone about 40 miles outside of town. Tops out at about 50 mph, so highway isn’t really ideal. There is a tow bar in front, a roll bar over the top and has 4wd using manual locking hubs.
It has been a very wonderful Jeep, and hasn’t given me any issues outside of needing attention more often for being a ’46. I recently started my own business and I hate to just have this antique just sitting around. Antique car insurance is currently running me about 5 dollars a month through state farm. You should be to get similar rates.
