(05/10/2012) I haven’t seen a hood painted quite like that one. I’ll bet this was a nice jeep at one time. It looks like the seat covers matched the dark accent color, too.
“This was a go getter at one time- This is a good example of what happens to vehicles that are left unused for years- This is a 1946 Willys jeep that has not run for about 12 years- It comes with a M-416 2 wheel Military Trailer that still has all the Military hardware- The trailer is in good condition wih some rust out and some damage to front sheet metal- The Jeep has all the usual rust out places-The gas tank is no good-Has good back seat frame and passenger seat frame, drivers seat frame is pretty rusty-Floor boards are rusty- Has a tow bar,but you will need a trailer to haul it home- Frame is still solid with no rusted out places-Transmission and transfer case shift easily- Motor will need some work, but looks to be complete-Has been converted to 12 volts-Oil canister is missing-Radiator holds water- Down side ot motor someone tried to remove plugs and broke them off in head-Tires are dry rotted- Has whats left of a Canvas top and door frames, has all the top bows and mounting hardware for top-There are lots of good parts or you could get it running with a little work- SOLD AS IS – I do have a good Texas title for the Jeep”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $5990

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
This probably seemed like a good idea at the time ….
” For auction is my 1946 Willys CJ2A “modified”. This vehicle sits upon a cut down 1973 K-5 Chevrolet chassis. It has a cast iron 4 speed manual transmission and cast iron gear driven transfer case! Rear differential is 12 bolt limited slip and front is 10 bolt with manual lock outs. Disc brakes up front and drums in the rear. There is currently no engine!! It was last fitted with a 250 cid GM inline six. Just about anything with a Chevrolet bolt pattern can be made to fit! The top was custom fabricated and appears to be aluminum. The body has, what I would consider, a lot of rust, but is all there and still has many usable parts. Everything about the driveline worked fine when the engine was pulled in 2009. It has been sitting ever since (except to be towed).”
