“For sale is a nice restored CJ2A willys jeep, it comes with a rear seat and seat belts, a winch, SOUND BAR w/lights and speakers that work great bikini top and a full best top (almost new). i have two spare tires that match two sets of tires and wheels, the military tires are brand new 16″, the wide tires and rims are used but still is good condition. the motor is a 4cyl L134 it runs great and very strong, rebuilded back a couple years ago. its a register driving vehicle, clear title and tagged. its very dependable. it has a brand new 8000lb winch mounted on front that hasnt even been used. i have put several thousand dollars into the jeep restoring it. it has (NEW) everything! i also have many extra parts that can be sold separate or deal for everything! THE REASON AND ONLY REASON I AM SELLING IT IS, i have a liver problem and can not drive it any longer and that i have gain weight and can no longer get behind the wheel to drive it. this is my third cj2a i have own. and i am very sad to sell it. please understand i will not give this away but i will work with someone that is truly serious about buying it! so if your interested in it and have any question please fill free to email me or call me if your serious.”
This runs and drives, but needs some restoration. This may make a good project.
“Offering for sale my 1956 Willys CJ3B Jeep. I have too many projects and this one need a new home. It is a candidate for restoration as it has not been customized and has all factory parts. 6.50 X 16 inch mud grips in good shape. Jeep starts and runs fine. Four cylinder F head -134 engine is strong – NO SMOKE, NO LEAKS. 5:38 ratio axles so this is not a freeway jeep. New fuel tank, clutch, starter and flywheel ring gear. The transmission has been rebuilt and has about 20 miles on it. The seats are original and in good shape due to the metal cab. Cab has excellent glass, door glasses roll up/down. Cab was built by Koenig Iron Works (Houston, TX). and is solid. Jeep has surface rust and some rust in traditional places. Steering is good with minimal play. Heater, headlights and gauges all work. Converted to 12V with one wire Delco alternator. Brakes will need some work to make it safe to drive. This would make a great hunting (keep you and your equipment dry) or a great ranch jeep. I will give you a BILL OF SALE and am asking $2500 CASH to make this deal.
Scammers please leave me alone

This appears to have full floating hubs in the rear. The cab looks permanently connected to the body.

(06/14/2011) “I have a 46 CJ2A column shift for sale. Jeep has PTO with flat belt drive. S/N 16965. I really hate to part with this jeep but it’s time. It does need some work.”
Brian forwarded these videos. What he was hoping they might stimulate are some comments about what might have been done differently . Of course, it would be easy to poke fun at the driver’s, but in some cases they might not have known better. So, maybe with some videos like this we can generate some teachable moments.
So, for example, Brian pondered the following contributing factors to the below accident:
(a) Lack of concern and respect of the trail leading to no trail spotter?
(b) Driver failing to understand center of gravity of Jeep ~VS~ gravity.
(c) Failing to recognize trail surface was equal to ball-bearings.
(d) The jeep seemed to be holding the hill before reversing. Driver failed to place jeep in revers and power out. (Related all above)
If you find a non-racing, non-stupidity-drinking back yard yahoo video, just guys/gals on the trail with factors that lead to misfortune, email it to me at d@ewillys.com.
Brian also shared this one, which demonstrates that even the woman running the camera knew this wasn’t a good idea.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000
This looks in good shape.

This could still use some work, but looks pretty stock.
“This is a 1948 Willys Jeep, CJ2A, 4WD. It has a full aluminum cab. It has front wheel locking hubs. I believe it to be all original, or repaired with parts designed for it. This Jeep is the original Utility Vehicle. It is a quarter ton truck, 4WD; a working machine that is ready to use. You can start driving it and using it the moment you get it.
This Jeep runs very well. It starts every time, even on bitter cold January mornings after sitting outside all night. Our routine is to start the Jeep about once every two weeks. It starts readily every time.
The engine was recently rebuilt. Since we seldom drive this Jeep, it has virtually no miles on the rebuild. This Jeep engine is the original Jeep engine. The gas tank has been sealed, the brakes completely reworked.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $650
It runs!
