Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have an old Willy’s I need to get rid of. Its been stored inside for at least 30 years. I aquired it several years ago, never found the time to do anything with it, and trying to make more room. It has a very rare Worman Jee-Cab hardtop on it as well. Was told it ran when it was parked, but I have never tried anything with it. “Jeep runs strong has a 304 fresh rebuilt runs an drive have a clean title. 4×4 works only thing it needs is body secured to frame better it is bolted but could be stronger but is driven as is. asking 875 i have spare parts for jeep. needs radiator an fan but came with an electric fan an recently got a radiator for it. needs master cylinder cuz front brakes dont work the best but still stops! Needs a little work but well worth it”

You can see the seller (or someone) stretched the fenders and hood to make this fit the frame.

“You can own the best military jeep Willy’s made with the better springs, rear end and improved seals. This jeep is in very good condition and it is very collectable and hard to find! It has the original engine with 24200 miles on it. The engine was rebuilt at 19058 miles. It has a 12-volt system with elec/vacume wipers, army data plates and black-out switches. Just a few updates tonight (sat night)
I’m guessing this is a Fire Department (perhaps makeshift) out of Korea. I found this during an image search, but I could not locate the source. It looks like a Library of Congress type of image. If anyone knows of the source, please let me know so I can properly credit it.

UPDATE: Dexter was correct … this sports a slat grille. He also provided some additional info and a pic.
The seller sent the following to Dexter: “This jeep was purchased from cousin in Idaho seven years ago. • It’s been sitting outside, covered, for the past year • The frame number is II3056 [Dexter comment: I see a dash before the 3, but the folks at G503 tell me it’s the 13,506th slattie made] • No glovebox type, with no data plates on the dash • Cousin, Bubba, removed the entire back (With the original WILLYS stamp!), and replaced it with sheet metal • It has body lift • Gas tank moved to the rear seat • He doesn’t want to get rid of it, but his wife has spoken. The block is cracked.”
“This is a 1942 willys jeep in fairly good condition…..the motor in it has a cracked block. it runs but bubbles in the radiator. I have the original flat head four cylinder motor that was smoking when removed probably bad rings. This jeep has been sitting for a while but DMV is current non-op. call anthony at 593-5074 if interested.”
