“This is a Strong Running 1948 Willys Jeep in Good solid shape with a strong front winch and plow. Great to just hope in and go or as a project to fix up nicely with out to much money or hassle. This Vehicle is a collectors item as there are few left in this kind of structural shape, this Jeep is so Old that it does not even meet the requirements to drive on the major freeways anymore as the top speed is only around 50-55 miles and hour. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
It appears very stock, but that CJ-2A body is pretty rusted on the sides.
“This jeep is as original and complete as I have seen. Rare items still on this jeep are the canvas top and bows, keyed coil, Naco taillight, and oil bath air cleaner to name a few. Serial number on title matches the firewall plate. ACM number on toeboard and tailgate match. The body tub needs some metal repair, and entire drivetrain will need to be evaluated. The motor turns by hand, but I have not tried to start it. If you are looking for a mudding jeep, keep looking-this one is not for you. Serious inquirers respond with email address and I will contact you regarding a personal inspection. ”
A reader spotted this unusual deal. That MB looks solid and appears stock. The seller incorrectly lists the MB as a M-38. This seller is also selling a Jeepster.

(04/17/2010) Here’s an ad that was hiding under “willis”
“1942 willis jeep with 1/4 ton trailer . runs good. needs some work, has roll bar and tow bar.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $3000 (was $5000 2 years ago)
This one hasn’t been re-listed in over 2 years. The pics show the jeep has been been painted with a rough body paint of some kind (herculiner maybe). This jeep still has no engine or transfercase.

This is actually a GPW (based on the parts I can see), though it’s been modified a bit.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000
(04/12/2010) The fiberglass body for my jeep came from Lakeview. It’s a tiny town, but they have a nice meat shop as well.

If this doesn’t take much to get it running, it might not be a bad project. If, if, if …

“Selling 1961 Willys pickup for parts or restore.Runs and trans is good. Lots of rust.Local pick up only no shipping.100.00 deposit at end of sale bal due on pick up.”
The underside of the body looks pretty good. It has had a few patches, as if the body used to have powersteering (hole in the grille) and a F-head motor (hole in the hood).
“I’m listing this for a friend. It has a 225 V6, T-90, T18 Transfer case, larger brake kit. Bodys fair-, but is workable. Comes with a spare hood and grille for repairing. Runs and drives, goes thru the gears ok and brakes work. Frame is good with no weird plates welded on or holes drilled. Needs glass, windshield in good shape. windshield vent works, needs bracket to hold open. For a do it yourself, it could turn out real clean without putting alot of cash in it.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1900.
This is missing a motor, but otherwise looks good.
“1951 Willys for sale. New paint, complete wiring, windshield, canisters, canister holders, it never had major rust problem. Only minor and it has been welded.NO ENGINE.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $9500.
This is a nice build. This would be worth checking out more closely. Note the upside handbrake; an unusual way to install the e-brake.

Mark spotted this unusual find when it was still available early on Sunday. However, it sold during the course of the day for $15,000. I’d love to know where it lands as it is something very unusual and rather fantastical.
“In 1962, the Army tested a machine known as The Overland Train at Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona. It was designed to carry equipment and supplies over both on- and off-road terrains. The train consisted of the control car, ten self tracking cargo cars, and two power generating cars. It was 565 feet long and could haul 150 tons of cargo. The control car also contained living quarters for a crew of six, complete with sleeping, eating and sanitation facilities.
The enclosed pictures are of a sister unit here in Alaska. It’s important to note this is one of the last existing units of this type anywhere. This unit consists of the control car and 3 trailers (mostly aluminum). All the units have tires and we also have a large amount of extra tires & wheels. This unit does not run and is not operable however according to Le Tourneau, the manufacturer most if not all parts are still available and or re-buildable. Would also make a terrific static display for museum. This unit is for sale as is FOB North Pole, Alaska, to the highest bidder above the reserve set by the estate.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8000.
This sounds like a nicely updated jeep.

Also stainless still nerf bars with updated 12 volt painless wiring harness. ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2800.
“This is a 1946 Willys flat fender Jeep. If you are looking for originality then you should probably stop reading. This does not have the original engine, seats, windshiels, top etc. If you are looking for a really fun toy that is dependable and goes ANYWHERE this might be your Willys. It starts with the first turn of the key and runs very well. the transfer case works as it should and this thing is unstopable if you like to 4×4. It is a great farm vehicle as well. It has a PTO out the back and there are all kinds of attachments you can find to play with. I have seen these with all kinds of PTO attachments. As far a dependability and running wise it is in great shape. The steering is a bit sloppy and I was going to attend to it but I have decided to sell it. It does not have a title but I understand it is not hard to get one in Indiana and I might be able to help with that. I have a new fishing boat comming and I need to sell quickly.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Purchased by an eWillys reader
