“This is a really cool Willys! If you like theme vehicles, this is set up as a civil defense vehicle. Popular back in the sixties. It appears to be all original engine, drivetrain etc. Starts right up and runs good and shifts like it should through the gears. It has like new tires, beauty rims, new battery and ignition switch, new shocks, a really nice tow bar for flat towing and it has lockout hubs so you don’t need to bring a trailer! All lights and turn signals work, including the red flashing emergency light on the fender. It has an ammo box between the seats where a radiation detector is stored. I don’t know if it works or not….”

1942 MB Slatgrille Holcombe, Wi **SOLD**
Here’s a slatgrille MB out of Wisconsin. It appears in good shape.
“I bought this jeep in 2000 from Houston TX and had it shipped to Wisconsin where I had it restored. I have invested $14,000 into this vehicle but willing to part with it for less…. I am not a jeep expert by any means, but I believe this jeep is largely origional with a few exceptions… It has been upgraded to a 12 volt system, and the windshield is not original. Like a lot of old jeeps, it does drip a few drops of oil after driving, but this jeep looks and drives GREAT! I do not have a top for the jeep. I do not have a title, and this will be sold with a bill of sale only. Please dont hesitate to ask me with any questions you may have.”

It’s a good looking GPW.
“Originally purchased privately in January of 1983 in Heightstown, New Jersey. Has been garage kept since purchase, and believed to have been prior to also. It was primarily used for parades, re-enactments and static displays. Entire body and interior is original, including seat covers, ID plates, and windshield. Body was stripped down and repainted. Some additional body work and mechanical work required to get into show condition. Still has 6 volt system, may need new wiring harness. Generator rebuilt in late 1980’s. The $6500 is a buy it now price on eBay. Apparently the Seller has 2 other offers made via eBay as well. This appears to be on the boarder between a VEC and an EC CJ-2A. The seller is only the 2nd owner. Too bad a floor shifter was swapped into it. It looks quite nice.
“Here is an original 46 willys cj2a that I bought 7 years ago off the original owener who purchased the jeep new in 1946 and used it on his farm in Easton CT. The jeep is still in running condition after all those years and only has 27000 miles. the way you see it is pretty much the way I bought it, I replaced the fuel pump, plugs , and plug wires. The jeep starts right up and will even start with the original hand crank! The motor at times has a skip to it, so it may need the carb rebuilt eventually but does not smoke or knock. The jeep drives great and will do almost 50mph it handles good and does not shimmy at any speed. It is really fun speed around back roads in this little jeep! At some point it was converted from column shift to floor shift, it is still 6 volt and has its original wiring harness….”
