It runs and drives. I can’t tell much from the pics.

Here’s a jeep plus a ’43 body that looks in at least reasonable condition.
“This is a solid 1948 Jeep CJ2A. . Everything is there including a clear title…the frame is solid…does have a cracked windshield. This old Jeep would make a fine restoration project, which was my intentions however; I have too many other projects to give this great old jeep the attention it needs.Under cover for 4 years. Includes extra 1943 military tub which needs restoration. Seats reupholstered. 90% painted, major rust dealt with before painting. Some light surface rust from sitting.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6500
(10/12/09) Here’s a nice looking CJ-3B. Rack and Pinion Steering?
“1953 Willys CJ B3 Jeep. 4 Cylinder; Manuel transmission. Gray interior and exterior. Has been restored. Runs good and drives good. Engine, running gear, brakes, all have been rebuilt. Rack and pinion power steering. I also have orginal steering parts, and it can be converted back to the orginal steering system. Tow Bar. All new: carb., fuel pump, starter, alternator, gas tank, gauges, electronic dist., tires.”
This might make a good restoration project.
“1957 Jeep Willys cj-5 with hydraulic snowplow is in original condition. The jeep has been stored inside most of its life. It has a Hurricane f-head 134 14 motor with 6 volt system. It has a T-90 3 speed transmission, Dana 18 duel stick transfer case, Dana 25 front axle and Dana 44 rear axle. Overall condition is very good for the age. This is a solid jeep Asking $ 3500.00 Call 860-890-1018”
UPDATE: A reader reports this has sold.
It doesn’t look to bad compared to some I’ve seen today.
“1947 WILLYS $1000.00 O.B.O. Great shape for restoration. Body & frame very solid. Not much rust. What you see in the pics is mostly just missing paint. Not rust. Motor & Hubs had been rebuilt years ago. Hasnt been ran in a few years But use to run great. Needs gas tank & brake work. Dont think it would take much to get it running.Family lost interest in it & left it to me. ”
This looks like a nice truck.
“Body: While this is not a gleaming show truck, it is a good looking and solid Willys pickup. The paint is quite presentable and the truck does look nice. As with any older paint job you will find the nicks, scratches and stains. I do not see any signs of significant rust, this is a very solid example of a ’55. If you are after perfection, look elsewhere. If you are after a decent truck that looks good, this could be your truck! Please take a good look at the photos as they are very representative of this truck. If after looking you would like more information please email or call us at 360-416-4995….”
Here’s a good looking truck with an unusual bed.
“Talk about a sweet ride! This 1960 Jeep Willy has been complety restored and is ready for “Date Night” or a “Show and Shine”. Runs like a dream.

It looks good.
“I am selling this rig only because of seriously failing health. I bought it nearly three years ago so I could fiddle with it and drive it as a hobby. It gets a lot of attention wherever it goes.I can still drive it but can no longer work on it. The previous owner was a mid seventies retired MP who had restored three Willys MB’s. This 1942 was his third and he said it was time to let it go. I liked it so much I had it shipped in a covered trailer all the way from Ruffsdale, PA to Baton Rouge, LA. I was an MP myself in the mid 60’s so I had a lot of Jeep time in the M151 but always wanted a WWII version. It and the trailer have been garaged before and since my acquisition. The Jeep speaks for itself. It’s in really good condition. It was not cleaned up in any fashion prior to the pictures being taken. Didn’t even wash it. I didn’t “shiny” anything up under the hood to try to put a fresh look on it…..
The trailer is a rare Bantam. One source has it as a very early post war where the first two hundred were produced with a military style seamed axle, combat wheels, and were painted olive drab. This trailer fits. The Bantam letters on the data plate are block rather than Italic placing it wartime or immediate post war. It also has the heavy three position shoe and thick lunette for the military pintle hitch, chains and hooks. It’s also got blackout lights. Go figure ….”
UPDATE: Something strange is going on .. this jeep is listed below for $2000 in Chico. On eBay it is listed for a single bid of $5500.
This looks a good price on a CJ-2A. This is listed as a ’43, but I see nothing to indicate that this is anything other than a CJ-2A.

“Willys Jeep – 1943 MB Jeep in excellent condition. Restored several years ago in Arizona and has been garage kept except when used for hunting, which has been minimal. Jeep has no visible holes or rust. It’s in need of a good wash job and detail. Used only three times in the last four years and it’s time it goes to a new home. Engine is 4 cylinder, 3 speed transmission, 4X4. Watson, manual lock out front hubs, Viking Winch with electric remote control, new battery, brake shoes replaced by brake shop – less than 100 miles ago. Has a tow bar, leather seats, a small bikini top, couple of gun holders, and a pair of 5 gallons gas cans and holders on the rear end, next to the spare tire. Mileage,31496, is what shows on the speedometer, don’t have a clue if iit’s accurate.
I bought the jeep from my father in law who is the one who restored the jeep 35-40 years ago. It was restored in Arizona and has only been in Colorado for the past 4 years, but is always garaged. Runs great, starts easy. I don’t know of anything not working on the jeep. It just sets around and isn’t getting used so it’s time for it to move on. Transportation, will be up to the new owner. Payment will need to be made in full prior to title exchange and transportation.”

Now I know what you are thinking; Why install a non-military fording kit? That’s what you were focused on, right?
“1952 Willys M38A1 90% restored to as delivered to the Marine Corps in 1952. This vehicle was converted to 12 volts with new non military wiring. It runs well and transmission as well as transfer case work well. There are some minor leaks in the seals of the rear diff and transfer case. The battery box was removed by previous owner to install heater. heater has been removed. Many new parts including lights, horn switch, dash, glove box cover, gauges, steering wheel and more. This M38A1 runs very well and has made the parade / car show circuit in upstate New york this summer with no problems. The fording kit is not military, but looks real cool. The starter and generator are not waterproof so don’t expect to ford any streams. Markings are correct for the 1950s era. There are minor blemishes on the tub, but no rust holes. The frame is solid and in excellent shape. It runs and stops. The motor is clean and runs well. Sorry guys, Danielle does not come with the Jeep.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
The price looks reasonable for a drivable flattie. The body looks a little beat up and it appears there is a patch on the passenger side of the body.
“Runs great!!”
