UPDATE: ICON is no longer selling these jeeps. They were priced at $45,000
Jump over to the CJ-3B Page and check out the latest on the new ICON CJ-3B, the first of several (or many?) new CJ-3Bs that will roll of the ICON plant from Van Nuys, CA. Derek covers this vehicle very thoroughly. It appears they’ve built a good rig. The engine is an interesting choice, likely providing debate for some time. Make sure to check out the gauge panel; it’s very different!
You can also see many pictures of an early prototype here from the CJ-3B Page.
This looks pretty nice.

“Great jeep, has full aluminum top, with full doors,Sound mechanically except engine is still stuck. Cylinders look good,I suspect there may be a bad rod bearing.Think engine may be rebuild-able. Has 15 inch tires,12 volt system including generator, regulator turn signals. Vehicle is complete except seat cushions, windshield adjustment brackets, one hood hold down and one headlight trim ring.will need brake work. I bought this recently but my health will prevent me from getting it running. So I am selling or trading so I can buy a running cj or wrangler. Will entertain offers”

It looks rough. Apparently, the previous owner lacked some mechanical skills …
“i have a 1952 cj3 a willys jeep for sale or trade. over all the jeep for its year its in good shape but if someone was wanting to restore to original it would take a lot but something to look cool and just a fun toy to drive and work on this is a great project. right now it does run and drive and all the doors, windows and snow plow and heat works and it has a koigin metal works hard top on it that is in great shape. the things that are wrong with it is someone put a ford 170 straight six in it and to make it fit they had to cut up the floor board and fire wall a little and they did a horrible job patching it back together but it does keep the air out for the most part. they used an advanced adapters kit to put the ford in it so about and ford with the right bellhousing will bolt up to the transmission and it is the original transmission and tranfercase. the brake master cylinder leak a little and the only other thing i can really think of that is wrong with it is the front end. i was playing around in it and i broke the front spider gears so the front axle doesnt pull but the transfercase works and everything…..”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
“My jeep has been completly restored from the ground up, the frame was sand blasted and coated. The body is under coated. All the running gear has been rebuilt, the motor was rebuilt completly, it is the original motor that came in the jeep when bought new,I am the second owner. I have installed newer seats front and back, new floor mats,I built a compartment between the seats with a locking top, it has 5 – 15″ wheels with open country tires, there is a swing away stair tire rack on the back. I installed a new top, it has a built in radio and cassette player with 4 speakers. It has been driven around town and in parades.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1750.
It’s not a willys, but it’s unusual.
“1984 Jeep CJ10A. runner. Produced in the US for the military only. Exported elsewhere. This one is a flightline tow tractor. Factory Nissan 3.3 litre diesel engine and auto trans. Transfer case is locked into low for heavy towing. Will move 60,000 lb loads easy. Many of the parts are interchangable with the entire CJ line. Removable top. folding window. Good interior. 2 pics are of vehicle, 3rd is an export example. No title. My plan was to do a CJ10/5/7 type of conversion/pickup etc. No time as with lots of my projects. Must go soon.”
“One owner since ’72; never restored, but more than maintained with everything new as needed; F-four, runs great, starts right up. All gears work fine including four wheel drive and low range gear box/shifter. Brakes and gauges work fine. Some rust on driver and passenger side step plate, under-seat storage compartments, but not as much as you would expect considering year/model. Everything in good working order;garaged since ’72;all maintenence records since ’72, fifth wheel/spare, full rain/dust cover”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3600
“For sale or trade 54willys 3b high hood. has good running small block 221ford. The rest of my jeep is is all org. has a full metal top. WILL TRADE FOR A GOOD RUNNING FOUR WHEELER OR TOYOTA 4X4 OR $3600”
The owner is selling it to buy an engagement ring.
“I have a 1946 Willys overland mb jeep. This is the military wrangler. This particular one is the first year of production of these vehicles for the publice while still implementing parts used on the military model. It is appx. 90% original with the updated 12 volt system. Tires that are less than 3 months old. There is no rust any where, and everything works. It is a perfect vehicle for driving on nice summer days, or if you have a place you can take it through the woods, you will never get stuck. It has the famous 4 cyl original Flathead motor that runs great. The suspensions and all other mechanical systems are in great shape. The 4 wheel drive will never let you down. I am only selling it to pay for an engagement ring and hopefully a wedding if everything goes to plan. I am looking to get 4300 out of it. I have spent so much time and money, but now I really need to sell. Email the post if you are interested. Or call 586 850 0853 This is a link to a youtube video I have made going around the jeep and the attached pictures should show anything you would want to see. If you come out you will not be disappointed.”
UPDATE: Sold for $8k.
This appears all original with a few tiny blemishes.
“1961 Willys Jeep Utility Wagon, 4 X 4 – Jeep is very original, 6 cylinder Super Hurricane, 3 speed, original interior, 1 repaint (original color) – has 5 Goodyear work horse 700 X 15 LT tires in good shape, spare is still new. All lights including headlights, brake lights, signal lights and tail lights work as does the emergency brake and wipers. Previous owner owned it since 2002 and has maintained it very well. Have many receipts for oil changes, tune ups, transmission rebuild, reseal transfer case, replace exhaust, tires, rebuilt carb., new clutch, new front and rear springs and bushings, etc. Hard to find one this solid that runs and drives this good. Previous owner states 92,000 miles are original and that he was the third owner.”
Here’s a nice looking truck.
“This is a fully restored 1953 Flat Fender Willys Jeep Pickup. This truck was taken down to the frame and was sand blasted and painted. Body and Box were taken down to bare metal, repaired and dents removed. It was re-assembled with all new brakes, brake lines, and master cylinder. The wiring is factory after market. The chrome has been cleaned and rechromed or is new old stock. Interior is new black vynil. The engine was a running 4 cylinder “Hurricane” removed from another not so fortunate jeep from the same era. It has Warren Hubs and new tires.”
Jim, take it away and thanks for sharing!
So I got a call today, woman says she has a1953 plow jeep she wants to get rid of. She said her deceased father, a mechanic, owned it for more than 40 years and used it to plow his business etc. When I hear plow jeep, Im thinking piece of rusty crap thats been worked to death etc. I have a driveway thats 1/3 of a mile long and I will need a plow this winter so I went to take a look.
Man, was I shocked, a completely (except orange paint) original 1953 CJ3B, 6 volt, uncut, runs great, has brakes, chains on all four studded tires, nice original seats, 15″ stock wheels, no rust to speak of, super straight, soft top frame with a tarp over it, still has the snap in carpet kit. Some one had obviously loved it for many, many years. Under that layer of dust is a really nice jeep and after a long heart to heart talk, its now mine for very little money!
I brought it home and tested it out. Everything works great, brakes, heater etc but there is a weird knocking on the engine, seems to come go at time so Im thinking someone dropped a bolt or something into the carb and it is knocking on top of a piston. I will know for sure when I pull the head in a few days but overall it is in excellent condition. I couldnt tell you the last time I bought a flat fender with a full on complete snap in carpet kit, very cool!
It looks like this might clean up pretty nicely (for the buy it now price of $1,395).
“This is an awesome original example of in all original condition with everything there. It was taken out of service due to charging issue in 1997 and stored. Can be road ready with very little TLC or do the complete restoration. There is light surface rust at the roof gutters, rear wheel openings but other than that it is a very nice California Willy’s. I have a number of projects going and have to move my shop so it must go.”
This seems like a very nice CJ-5 for a pretty reasonable price. There’s a long list of new and rebuilt parts put into this rebuild.
“1955 Willys Jeep. Has undergone a frame-off restoration. Here is a list of items rebuilt or replaced in this 4 year process: …. The Jeep has been parked for the past year. It has appx 300 miles on engine. Contact Scott at 575-910-5020”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
This looks pretty nice for only $2500. No top included.
“It has a 225 v6, stock running gear no top or back seat newer tires and front springs.”
If this is as good as advertised it might be a great deal. It looks original. A new paint job would do wonders (I wonder if the paint is hiding something?)
“For sale is a 1948 Kaiser Willys CJ-2A 1/4 ton Jeep. All original and complete. Runs excellent and everything works. Top and door in good condition- $2500”
It might or might not start. It’s got a PTO.
“have a 1947 Willys CJ-2A Jeep for sale. The body is in good shape needs some work. The motor ran last time I tried starting it. I also have many extra parts for a willys jeep. Frames, springs, carberator, transmission, ect…. Will sell stuff seperatly if your interested. If you would like to see more pictures i can email them. Would be a great restoration project. I dont have the time or the money to fix it up so i just want to sell it to someone who does.”
This is a non runner. The engine is stuck.
“Nice cj2a with 49000 miles on odometer, Body good, with normal rust underneath, Frame good. mechanically good engine stuck but rebuildable Rare full aluminum top in excellent condition! will need brake work. Ph Rich 712 657 2042 See Pics”
It looks good, but the image compression makes the body look rough.
“1951 Willys M38 World War II Army Jeep. Parade quality. 30 cal. resin machine gun for looks. Drives and runs good. Call for more information or to see (608) 362-3267.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1700
It’s rough, but runs.
“make a great hunting vehicle. runs and drives 4 wheel drive works. gunna go fast”
It’s a beauty. I was a little surprised to see the engine area isn’t as polished as the rest of the jeep.
“YOU ARE VIEWING A 1948 WILLYS JEEPSTER CONVERTIBLE THAT RUNS AND DRIVES FLAWLESS. THE INTERIOR HAS BEEN RE-UPHOLSTERED ABOUT 50 MILES AGO, ALONG WITH THE CONVERTIBLE TOP. UPDATE: Price dropped to $6000
This is one of the better hard top restorations that I’ve seen. Most people dump them.
