“1955 Korean War M38A1 Willy’s Jeep that is in excellent condition. I have receipts, work order, maintenance logs going back nearly 20 years. This jeep has had a lot of time, effort and money invested into it over the years including a full engine overhaul (at a cost of nearly 3.5K– nothing was skimped. Vehicle has approx 2700 miles since engine overhaul. I currently drive the jeep when weather permits in parades and military funerals. The paint is from Quantico U.S. Marine Base and is Marine Chemical Resistant paint approximately 8 years old. Every thing works on the jeep. Gages, horn, lights and has new spark plugs, wires, new radiator and has a very hard to find military antenna. This is a 24 volt system that has 2 new military batteries. This is not a frame off restoration but everything else is 100 percent. All new canvas on seats and top. There is an AM/FM/CD radio
with 9″ speakers mounted in two ammo cans in the rear of the jeep. Five new military tires and tubes”

“This is an exceptionally well preserved 1950 Jeepster. Original everything, but runs well and starts easily. If you are looking for a classic you can have fun with now, or if you want to restore it to a “like new” condition, this is the Jeepster for you. Comes with the original radio and heater. Floor matts appear to be original.
I can’t tell if the paint is original, but it does appear that the original color was red (Firewall is red) . The cowl is black, and looks great, but does not seem to be original. Top and side curtains are usable, but need to be replaces. The body is very solid. I can’t find evidence of repair, bond-o, rust issues, etc.
I don’t know a lot about the car’s history. It most recently had a Kansas title, and I was told it spent many years in use as a parade car.

“This antique Jeepster was stored in a barn for 38 years. Since I acquired it last year it has been recommissioned mechanically and cosmetically. It is now titled and is fun to drive around town. It has a push button starter on the floor and is a 3 on the column standard shift with a cable operated Overdrive. This convertible with side curtains comfortably rolls along at 40 to 50 mph and seats up to 6.
It has a new fuel tank and sender, reman fuel pump and carb, new wide white wall tires, brakes, exhaust, shocks and a complete new wiring harness. The black interior, top and carpeting are in reasonably good used condition. The paint is patch work of touch ups but the result is a comfortable usable finish like your favorite set of jeans. If you are serious about buying this Jeepster I will take you out for a drive.”
UPDATE: **SOLD**
(06/04/2017) Looks nice. This has an early 0-10 speedo, but the front spring shackles aren’t reversed. I believe they should be reversed if this is truly a ’55 (I thought the springs were reversed at least into ’56?).
