This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I’m parting out my project. I lengthened the tub about 3″ at the door frame. This tub is actually kinda rare. It’s civilian but has the shovel and axe dents in the drivers side and a few other unique things. I have other parts on it for sale also. Not a lot of original parts though.”
Tom shared this one. It appears to be in excellent shape, but isn’t quite “100%” original. It also does not have a military tub as noted by the seller.

This militarized column-shift VEC CJ-2A looks in good shape. This might not take much to demilitarize this one.

“1946 CJ-2A VEC (Very Early Civilian). This Jeep is an early production of the CJ-2A with a column shift transmission. I am the 3rd owner and have documentation from the original family including pictures and the history. It was purchased by a family friend who had it restored. The Jeep includes many accessories including an extended bed and an original style half cab top. I am currently in the process of installing a new radiator, new transmission synchronizers and some steering components. If you want it before I get that work done, we can negotiate a lower price.”
This undated, 32-page introduction to the Universal ‘Jeep’ is a 8.5″ x 11″ booklet I didn’t have and can’t remember seeing previously. I managed to buy it off ebay for $7. Now, that’s a score!
Note that the final photo shows an early dash, along with JEEP illustrated on the windshield rather than WILLYS.
UPDATE: Still Available, though price has been bumped. It was listed as a 1946, but is now listed as a 1945. It does have rear hubs.

That seems an odd place to put a winch, but maybe it was only used for light items?

Listed as a 1964, I suspect the seller meant 1946, as it looks to be a VEC (though the seller listed the year wrong twice).
