UPDATE:  Anyone make it to this auction over the weekend?

Maggie spotted this auction.  If you like or need Jeepster parts, this might be a good find.  Also note the nice Willys sign.

Yes, I was at the sale. There was plenty of rain, snow and mud for everyone…along with a few Jeepsters for sale. Almost all of the parts and all four Jeepsters were purchased by a fellow from Florida who said he was going to restore them. Most of the parts were used but good and those that were new got drenched in rain and snow. Only three or four of us out of a crowd of about 100 bidders showed any interest in the Jeepsters…most everyone else was there for the rest of the estate.
I bought a boxful of new and used Jeepster hub caps and drove three hours each way for the privilege!

Now there’s a perfect example of a “Barn Find.” They look like they are in pretty good condition. I’d like to see how these Jeepsters turn out after the new owner gets them back on the road again.

Jim Vaccaro, a member of the Willys Overland Jeepster Club, from Florida bought those Jeepsters and had two of them running within days of getting them back to his place. You can contact him at jim@jeepsterjim.com or at 904-669-8668 in East Palatka, FL. He has a Jeepster restoration business there. The 1950 Jeepster was a one owner car, bought by the late Ed Peyton in 1950. He traded in a CJ2A for it. He was a member of the Willys Overland Jeepster Club. R-I-P, Ed.
