“This is a Rare Right Hand Drive (RHD) Jeep Scrambler CJ-8.
Jeep made around 230 of these Scramblers in 1984 for the Alaskan Postal Delivery Service.

This Jeep runs and drives, however once she is warmed up she tends to want to stall out at stoplights if you don’t feather the throttle a bit. Rather than messing with the single barrel carb on there, I have a rebuilt dual barrel Motorcraft 2100 ready to be installed, but have not yet had the time.

The details are as follows:
The drive train of this Jeep is stock (carbureted 4.2 L 6 cylinder with automatic trans)
4WD works
Rare World Cab Hard Top, only sold in USA on these 230 Alaskan Jeeps. All other Scramblers were sold as Pickup Trucks in the US! South America got these world cab or Overland cab tops, but very few of those in US!
31″ tires with bed lined 15×8 wagon wheels

The previous owner bed lined the worldcab hard top black and sprayed the jeep bright white. Paint is not great, but looks okay from 10 feet.
The rear windows are not stock, and were added at some point in the past. The factory yellow insulation is still intact. Again, this was a factory addition specifically for the Alaskan environment.
The Rear barn door opens, but does need to be looked at, as there is some flex in the steel around the upper hinge.
The previous owner replaced the front floor pan and fiber glassed everything to keep it water tight. He also replaced the original front seats with newer seats out of a Neon I think, but the mounts are still there to put original Jeep seats in.
I have a full set of NOS door seals (rare!) and windshield frame seal to go with the Jeep.
I have a spare tire to go with her, but it is a solid steel wheel with a worn tire on it.
The Frame is in near perfect condition. All the Alaskan Postals came with an undercoating from the factory, so these frames were very well protected. The small, shiny spots in the last picture, that look like holes in the frame, are actually the original semi-gloss black frame paint showing through. After 32 years, that is how well protected these frames were.

This Jeep is perfect for someone who wants a guaranteed unique Jeep. With only 230 of these RHDs ever built, and only 2 or 3 others in Michigan, your equals are few and far between.”
