Will asked if I’d scan this brochure for him. In a post a couple days ago I thought the Bonanza III hardtop had wide glass pieces where the brown indents are, but it turns out those are just indents with dark brown simulated walnut stickers. This also shows that Kelly made Jeepster Commando and Bronco hardtops.

Back in the late 1970’s, I had a Kelly full length cab I sold to a couple of guys from Asbury Park NJ. They drove up in their CJ5 and we lifted the top on to the Jeep. They drove home that way down the Garden State Parkway with the top un-secured, just holding on with one hand each. I guess they made it home, those were the days, fun days of great adventure.

I have a 1972 Cj5 with a Bonanza III top. I would like to replace the headliner that is ripped and falling down. Any suggestions what to replace it with? Ideas on how to remove the buttons holding the old headliner?

    Hi Kelly,

These are pretty rare tops at this point. I have build instructions for some Koenig hardtops posted, but not for Kelly tops. If you haven’t, and given how these were primarily built for CJ-5s, I’d create a post over at the earlyCJ5.com and see if someone can help you there: http://www.earlycj5.com/xf_cj5/index.php

Sorry I can’t be more help!
