Pretty stock and little sign of rust. The windshield seems to be fitting a little oddly.
“1947 Willy’s CJ2A “flat fender” Jeep. 4 cylinder with 3 speed transmission and Dana 18 – 2 stick hi/low transfer case. Lock out hubs, almost new NDT tires, new gas tank, recently replaced the differential third member, 12 volt system with alternator, tow bar and extra rear seat. Very little rust, very restorable or with upholtery work, run as is. $4,495 OBO.”
UPDATE: Leo discovered this jeep sold for $15,000 at the in-person auction on Saturday April 20th.
WOW! Doug just spotted this early VEC. It is listed as a 1945 and looks wonderfully stock, with full floaters, column shift, three data tags and (I think) square bolt heads on the windshield.
This may be worth a look.

“’46 Willys Jeep, stock engine has been rebuilt, rebuilt tranny and transfer, good tires. Converted to 12volt, and electric fuel pump, tow hitch kit on front with jack, receiver hitch in rear. Some rust…bed has been covered with aluminum diamond plate. Runs and shifts great!!!”
This jeep has been refurbished. The column shift and grille have been changed. Unclear if it still has the tool indents.
“Full frame up restoration using 2 donors and a New-old-stock parts source.
Original engine, etc. A few things are new (grill, wheels), as I haven’t found the original parts yet. Also, converted to a floor shifter, because the column shifters were horrible.
Less than 5k miles since restoration. Works as a daily driver, or take care of the rest of the cosmetic stuff and have a show car.

This Jeep was rebuilt by my son, with help from 4 Wheelers Supply, Hopper’s Automotive, Stoney Mountain Jeep and Chandler Auto-Truck Electric. We have all receipts. Only selling because my son is in South America for two years. ”
UPDAT: Was $10,000. **SOLD**
This was a navy Jeep. Plenty to read about this one.
“I’ve had this great running little jeep for several years. I’m thinking I may want to pursue a different hobby so it may be time for my Jeep to move to a new home. I purchased this from a friend of mine (WWII aircraft mechanic) that used it at Centennial Airport to pull vintage airplanes around the hanger. The reported history is it was originally purchased by the US Navy in Hawaii and used as a shore patrol or similar right after the war. Although there were many Army jeeps in the area, the Navy purchased a few right after the war directly from local dealers (sounds like a mini-stimulus program). I verified this info from a WWII Jeep forum on the web called G503.com.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was auctioned.
I don’t see much rust or rot.
“1948 CJ2A jeep universal. To be sold at auction May 4th 2013”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6000
This appears to be a good price. The pics are small.
“It’s hard to even write this add. Six years ago my son and I rebuilt this Jeep with our own bare hands from the ground up. The motor, transmission and transfer case were rebuilt professionally, so no worries there. Most if not all bolts and nuts are new and stainless steel. It has the original L134 engine, original 3 speed transmission and dual stick transfer case. I also added a Warn Overdrive that was rebuilt by Herm the Overdrive Guy in Battleground Wa. The rear end is an offset Dana 44 with a locker, and the front end is I believe a model 27 which is stock. It has new Warn hubs as well. It has new 31 x 10.5 x 15” tires, with Ford Bronco wheels with beauty rings. Body work and paint was accomplished by my son and I, so it’s not a Barrett Jackson restoration but a great little rig. She’s hauled several elk out of the woods for us and also picked up beer and bread. She is an all around great rig. It does not have a top but I made a bikini top for it just to keep the rain and snow off of us when hunting. Otherwise, she’s topless. I have a pile of receipts and months of work into this rig. You can go buy a Yamaha Rhino but you can’t go to town in it, plus you’ll pay double of what I’m asking. I’m sure I’ve left out a few things. Oh, and it’s registered for life as a collector plate. Clean, clear title. The original color was “Pasture Green”. Thanks for looking and a good day to you all. $6,000
UPDATE: Price dropped to $4000
(09/15/2012) I suspect this is really a CJ-3A.
“Motor and drive train excellent, converted to 12 volt, all new original equipment- wiring harness, bumper, exhaust, complete tune up, battery, alternator, all fluids changed. Call 218-498-2337”
There is a price of $11,500 (in text) and a price of $12,500 (in title).
“Here is a brief run down on what is here. The frame is from a 46, the engine is from a military jeep (sear number xxxxxxx). The body was an early reproduction, additional taillight was installed and hole for aux trailer plug. It is very acuracy for a 46 with the exception of no matching numbers, frame, body, engine. Every part has been taken off and gone through. all gauges are new, also the speedometer. The parking lights are Corian, hard to find and in excellent condition. It has the original Spartan horn on the fire wall, new wiring harness, all electric parts were gone through. The carb was rebulit. It is painted the Pasture Green, tires and tubs are new, the rims are Kesley Hays.
If I had to try to get back the time and money put into this project it would very costly. This will make a nice jeep to drive around in and have fun, parades car shows etc. It comes with service manual, plate, clear title. owner’s manual. I have a top I am including with the sale. It is a Best Top I had on another jeep and is in very nice condition. There is a crack in the rear plastic that can be replaced. All the receipts’ and a running record of the money spent also come with.
the jeep drive very nice and the mileage you see is the actual on this rebuild.
All information is accurate and no false or misleading information is implied.
I have three jeeps and had no intention on keep this one.
asking $11.500”
The front bumper doesn’t look original, but the rest of it does. This includes a rear PTO.

“1946 CJ2A willys jeep rare 3 speed collum shift, runs and drives great, solid body all around, clean title comes with a parts jeep. it can also come with a hard top and doors if interested.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
“Original 1947 model New Mexico Willys Jeep CJ 2A . It has a 3 speed floor shift standard transmission and original flathead 4 cylinder engine. All lights work as they should as well as do the original gauges. Mileage showing 42157 however the speedometer cable was broken at the time I purchased it. Therefore I cannot know actual miles on vehicle. Color-Dark Green and not the original paint. Other non original items include, new seats, new gas tank installed approximately 10 years ago, as well as the 15 inch wagon spoke wheels. The original 6 volt battery and generator system has been updated to a 12 volt battery with an alternator. This is a major improvement for faster more reliable engine starts. The original element style oil filter has been replaced for a more efficient screw on style of filter. The jeep has been kept in my barn for the past 35 years with very little use. The jeeps starts and drives very well. Cons- The jeep does have the usual oil drips of a vehicle the era. It will also jump out of second gear as it gears down ( not in the powering up motion) which I understand in not unusual for this particular model.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Some imperfections? There are a variety of dings and dents.
