(01/18/2011) “For Sale 1948 Jeep Willy’s Cj2A This Jeep was dads baby, and he was always working on it. It has been sitting for about 8 years with the engine
out of it. I have a 6 cyl engine for it that is included. The Jeep is in good condition. It would be an easy rig to get on the road for summer fun.
I also have a set of wider custom wheels & tow bar for it. I am asking $1,800 OBO for it.”
This looks like a nice little rig.
“This wonderful little Jeep has ben completely refubished. It is very clean with no damage. Everything works and it runs like a clock. New tires. A BestTop Tiger convertible top. This Jeep needs nothing. I am selling it because hip and leg problems make it difficult for me to drive.”
Over $2000 invested?

“I have 2 Jeep Willys for sale that are projects. One has the Buick V6 and the other , the F head 4 cylinder. Both ran when parked about 8 years ago. No titles. $1000 cash for one or $1800 for both. Open for offers or partial trade”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
The body has seen better days, but it appears quite complete. This might be a good resto project.
“1946 Willys CJ 2A 4 Wheel Drive, this jeep has been in storage in a shed for over 20 years. It is complete but is not running. It might run with some work, It needs to be restored. There is rust on the front floorboards, and some in the back as well, but they look like a fairly easy fix. The frame and suspension looks very solid. It rolls easy, the tires are ok to roll it around but dont look road worthy due to cracks. It needs a good home, maybe a father son project!”
UPDATE: Was $1400. **SOLD**
(05/27/2011) Unclear if it runs or not.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
(05/31/2011) It looks like the seller has listed the engine number as the VIN.
“12 volt conversion. Runs great. Original engine and air/oil filters. Has original factory installed live PTO option to run brush hog, sprayer, or water pump which is RARE! The flathead runs great and strong, the transmission shifts like new. Underneath this jeep is super solid, all crossmembers are solid and nice, the underside of the pan is very very nice. This was not a pan off but somewhere in it’s past I do believe it was–it definitely was babied. I did some basic maintenance to it, (oil, brakes, carb adjustment, etc) and proceded to make a jeep that was one to be used. I wanted something I could drive in a parade and then run to my favorite fishing hole in, not a show queen. The fact that this had the PTO just made it that much more special for me. This really is a great jeep and super nice driver. Has 16″ rims and tires have great tread, but do have some age cracks in them, nothing major just figured you should know.”
UPDATE: Still Available

(06/04/2011) There might be some value, but pretty rusty, too.
“Here we have for sale a 194? Willys Jeep.
The engine that came with this Jeep is totally machined at Ferris State Univerity back around 1984 or so, I have all new rings, bearings, seals, gaskets, distributer cap and rotor, plugs and wires, even a new thermostat, new pressure plate, clutch, and throw out bearing. The crankshaft and camshaft were also completely machined, and the valves were ground and the seats were done also, and the valve guides were knurlized. The pistons and rods were also balanced. The engine is still apart and sitting under my work bench where it’s been since around 1984 or so. I also have a complete extra engine that goes with the whole deal, last I knew that engine was said to have run but burned some oil, but since I never heard it run I don’t know what the condition really is on it as it has been under the work bench all these years.
The jeep has a hi/low range 3 speed transmission and a lever engaged transfercase. I have the grille and starter, alt, ect. ect. I am pretty sure that all the parts are there to put this back together, they have all been stored in a trailer out of the weather all these years, and the new parts for the engine have been stored under my workbench in the garage with the two engines.
I know that I’ll never make the time to put this together and figure that if I sell it cheap enough someone may get some use out of it.
I spent a lot of money to have the work done on the engine and all the new parts were $550 so I really think that $700 is a very fair price.
Thanks for looking at this listing. I left the link to email me but a call would be much better because I don’t check the email very often.
call 231-872-5119 and leave a message if you don’t get an answer.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500

UPDATE: New paint and a price bump.
(09/02/2010) This looks like a nice jeep. Note that it is missing a fuel inlet on the driver’s side of the body, there is no tailgate, and it appears to be missing the drain holes by the steps. This may be a MB body or a fiberglass body.
