It’s missing a bow holder in the front, but looks in good shape. Has a few updates.
“1947 Willys CJ2A. Southern jeep has a solid steel body that is mostly all original. New soft top. Seats are upholstered in OD green canvas. The transmission has been refreshed, The transfer case has been refreshed. The T-18 transfer case is equipped with a Saturn overdrive unit (this results in an additional gear on the highway, and allows the operator to split gears in all ranges).
The brakes have been upgrade to include all new brake lines and hoses, a dual master cylinder, front disk brakes and 11″ by 2″ Rear drum brakes (a major improvement over the original 9′ by 1″ drum brakes). Dual heaters in the cabin with separate fan controls. Currently registered with permanent 1947 antique Virginia plates which limits operation of the vehicle but it allows the vehicle to be operated with original safety equipment and no required state inspection. This jeep does not shimmy…the steering gear has been refreshed with new tie rods, ball joints, and new front springs…there is no play in the steering, Runs and drives like a 1947 Willys jeep should.”

“This Jeep was completely rebuilt 10 years ago with a frame off restoration. Rebuilt original 4 cyl motor and transmission, new tub, new wiring, new Firestone military NDT tires, many new or reconditioned parts. My goal was to return it to as near new condition as possible, and it’s been continuously garaged and driven just 1100 miles since the restoration. This is as close as you will get to owning a new, 1947 Willys CJ 2A and is nothing but fun to drive. I’d like to see it go to a good home.”
This was the seller’s father’s jeep and he admits he doesn’t know a lot about it. Seller seems convinced it’s a WWII jeep. It is a nice example of an early 2A jeep, though strangely it doesn’t have tool indents (#24566)

Dart Big M 800HP/pump gas, Gary Williams 1150 Dominator, Super Victor Jr. intake, Dart Pro 1 heads, Ron Davis radiator, Eagle rotating assembly (on and on and on), have complete professional build sheets. PowerGlide w/4500 stall (2k HP build), scatter shield and drive line loop. Modified Dana 60 (4 link) w/removable drag bar, spool w/6.17 gears (have extra open gear set), 35 spline Mosers. Areospace brakes w/second hand brake between seats when running the open gear set for separate tire braking/steering. QA1 shocks w/adjustable height linkage.
Radio headsets-person to person, car to car capable, music. Listed the major info. but so many details, specs and pictures, feel free to inquire about any other details. 60k in the Jeep build alone . Have a complete ledger of the build. I will sell the Jeep separate from the trailer, but not the trailer alone. Sport Trailer brand 20ft wide body, oversize 48” walk-in door, 5k axles, 80gal on board water w/pump, 100 gal fuel station, 110 interior/exterior outlets, florescent lighting, outdoor floods side and rear, 17′ awning, 30amp w/inverter, dual interior batteries, 5k interior winch (front and rear controls), in floor and wall tie down points. Electric tongue jack.Again, on an on. This was nearly an 80k package when it was built, who knows to have them built and packaged together now. This was one of the last Jeep builds to come out of a So. Cal. shop still fabricating today.

Brand new battery, Rebuilt and Dyno’d carb, CB, New Bimini top, Rear seat with seat belts, Front shoulder belts and more. Its one of the cleanest flat fenders around. Ive taken this little jeep everywhere, fishing Bishop, Owens River, Mammoth. Its never let me down, Ive taken my family 50 miles in from pavement camping.Clean title in my name, Just paid 2018 Tags, You can drive it home. 7800.00 OBO, That tow bar does not come with it, but I have another one.”

Ted shared this jeep. It has a few updates, including a spray liner on the interior and underside.
“Offered here is a 1946 Civilian Willys Jeep. This driver comes out of an estate and collection of fine automobiles. The in-house mechanic states that the engine and transmission have been rebuilt and the brakes are in good working order. Newer paint was applied and the vehicle shows well. The floors and undercarriage plus the inside of the fenders have been undercoated. A roll bar has been installed. The windshield glass on the driver’s side has a crack and will need replacement. Some paint bubbling was noticed also on the windshield frame. This is a no-nonsense little cruiser. Perfect for running around town, as a grocery-getter, a vehicle for advertising, parades or simply to show and enjoy. The vehicle is currently on display at the Murphy Automobile Museum in Oxnard, California.”

“Mid-year 1947, CJ2A for sale, mostly original components, in good condition, runs and drives well, 4WD works, stays in all gears, not fully restored but well maintained and cleaned up for sale. This Willys jeep has a lot of powder coated piece parts, to include all five wheels, bumpers/cross members, front grille, tailgate, windshield frame, driver and passenger seat frames, passenger side tool box, headlight cans and headlight rings, mirrors, windshield latches, footman loops, gas pedal, brake and clutch pedals, and various covers and plates. I’m still finishing up a few detail items such as welting and felt on the radiator shroud; have new air cleaner on order. Asking $14,500 but will consider any reasonable offer (cash offers only – am NOT interested in trades). Additional pictures are available upon request. The vehicle is legally registered and licensed in Alabama. Does not have title but Alabama (and many other states) does not require a title to register/license a vehicle this old.”

Ted shared this eBay auction. It’s a beautiful jeep. It is missing the bow holders on the driver’s side and the spare tire mounted on the passenger side, but those are minor quibbles.

“This Willys is a Cj2a that has been completely restored from ground up.With the motor being all standard it has not been run much. I Ordered a new steel body mostly for the rust issues under the tool box and hat channel.By the time I replaced the channel and floor I was getting up in labor and cost.
I completely disassembled it and started with the frame and worked my way up. The list that follows of new parts installed to make it drive on the highway and be safe to operate. I upgraded the brakes, from 9″ to 11″” self adjusting; And new dual master cylinder. Converted it to a single wire Alternator to get the 12v needed for modern lights and all new cloth wiring.Rebuilt the steering box with new sector shaft, and the jeep does not wander going down the road. All steering is tight.I replaced most all the bolts.The list of parts is long and I did not cut corners on the restore.
