“1946 and 47 cj2a. NO PAPERS NO PAPERS NO PAPERS. One frame has a serial tag. The tubs are very rough but very solid starts. Have 2 sets of fenders. A fuel tank, good willys tailgate. One is a roller, one has a L134 flathead, t90 and transfer case. Have extra set of axles. All 3 sets of axles I believe are Dana 44. All seem good. The engine is in what I believe to be a 50s cj5 frame and tub is just sitting on it. Have an extra cj2a frame. Lots of little extra parts. One has fiberglass tilt front clip complete. One windshield frame in very rough shape. The engine does run. I have a solex carb in a box. Once again, NO PAPERS. Lots of very good parts. 25 for both and parts. PRICE IS NEGOTIABLE. I’ve owned these for 10+ years, need to clear out the driveway. Message me phone number and we can talk on the phone. I’m not into answering a bunch of questions over messenger”

“1947 Jeep Willys, it’s in pretty rough shape but definitely worth rebuilding for the right person. Body is in decent shape for the year, there is some rust in the normal spots for these. Floor will need to be replaced. Does not have an engine, all other drive train is there tho. There is no title. Message me for more detail if interested”
This appears to have a custom half cab.

“46 Willy’s jeep cj2a. Has a replacement steel body put on at some point,no real rust anywhere. Frame is solid as well,no rust holes anywhere. Has a 4.3 Chevy motor that runs very good, always starts right up. Has an electric fuel pump. Stock trans and transfer case, twin stick. One of the wheel cylinders has a slow leak so needs a little brake fluid once in a while. Seats needs attention, covers and foam, frames are good. The bad part is I don’t have a title or any paperwork at all and can’t get anything. Never been titled in Kentucky is what I was told. Got it from a farmer who’s had it for 30 + years and just used it on his property. Have some extra parts that could possibly go with it.”
UPDATE: Thanks to Roger Martin for taking some pics at this auction. It looks like there were plenty of bidders on the jeeps. Roger reports there were nine jeeps auctioned. The prices varied from $380 to $2000. The green jeep below was won with a $2000 bid (which included an extra running engine!). 3 of the Jeeps had PTOs.
Blaine spotted these ads for several jeeps and trailers for sale. The ads have similar photos. The flatfender is most likely a 1946 2A.

“1948 Willys CJ2A Jeep. $5000 Priced for a quick sale. Runs great and mechanically sound. Has original engine which was rebuilt by prior owner who used it as a hunting vehicle. I have put less than 100 miles on it since I’ve owned it for the past decade. It’s been garage kept under my ownership. Transfer case shifts smoothly. Has winch, bench seat, bikini top, roll bar, CB radio, fire extinguisher, storage box and warn hubs. Rear rack holds spare tire, jerry can and water cooler. Has battery disconnect key switch inside fender well in case you need to roam far from it in the woods. Call Mark for more details.”
Seller may consider trades.

“1947 cj2a has a 4.3 chevy with husky overdrive, 538 years with a D 18 transfer case and a sm420 transmission. I have a ton of new parts that need to be installed. Due to my health I cannot finish it, a new small cap electronic distributor new wiring harness, new wipers and motors, has 33 inch tires with 90% tread. Have brand new black bucket seats. Much much more. Like to trade for a older camero, or maybe a side by side, or Harley big twin motorcycle,”
I suspect this may have some underside rust.

“Comes with extra engine and transmission. Three speed on the floor. Original Willys engine and transmission in it now.”
This has no title. Given the radiator and the transmission crossmember mount (just visible in one pic), this is likely a DJ-3A convertible body on a CJ-2A chassis.

Terry notes that this is rough, but there seems there could be value here. Though listed as a 1947, the Lefty setup suggests that the body is from 1948. Note the rare 4-Wheel-Drive branded hubs.
