Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have decided to sell my “Ol’ Willys” CJ-2a. It’s in running/driving condition.for a 67 year old vehicle. It was “shade -tree” restored several years ago,always garaged,never driven in winter the twelve years I have had it. Has newer brakes,lines,battery other misc. stuff. “1947 jeep cj2a, all original body and drive train, all drive line components have be restored or replaced, rust free body. Original seats recovered, has front and optional rear heater, new “best” top ,with doors. This appears to have a replacement body and some full floating hubs.

Not a perfect restoration, but nicely refurbed with what appears to be a replacement body.
“This 4×4 Willys is in excellent condition. It was professionally restored. It has a powder-coated frame with period correct wheels and tires.
It has a brand new soft top, a rebuilt engine, a 12 volt electrical conversion, rebuilt 3 speed with a 2 speed divider.
Has a tow bar mounted on the front. No need for trailer. Tires are in excellent shape. Like new.
Civilian version according to VIN.”
