Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Selling this Willys CJ2A Jeep for parts or restoration. It is missing parts but may be a good start on a WWll Jeep project. Look at the photos and ask any questions. There is no title and rarely is on old jeeps. It will come as is . . I just don’t have time for it. It’s not running but rolls freely. Someone put a v-6 in it but the trans is original. It’s a project with an f-head.
“1946 Jeep CJ-2A in restorable condition. It is what you would expect an unrestored 68 year old jeep to be. But it could be the ultimate jeep if you are jeep lover looking for a project. I bought it a couple of months ago and just don’t have the time for this project. The CJ-2A was the first jeep sold to the public, and 46 was the second year it was made. At some point the motor was swapped to the Hurricane straight 4 cylinder. It has a hood scoop to accommodate the taller head. It is not running and I don’t know any history on it. The tires are dry rotted and the right front studs were cut to remove the wheel. It was stored inside for the last four years. Text for more info.”

The fender solution is unusual. They are curved rather than angular. I wish there was a clearer photo of the whole jeep.
UPDATE: Pics now provided. It’s not a completely unmolested jeep, but still quite stock. Check out those vintage tires. They kind of look like Desert Dog knock-offs.

(11/17/2014) Has some updates.
“This ‘ol girl has a Buick 231ci V6 swap with a TH350 with shift kit behind it mating, via AdvanceAdapters hardware, to the stock Dana 18 transfer case. Both motor and tranny are freshly rebuilt with less than 500 miles on either. It has not been a daily driver. Paint is about 2 years old, needs some touch up. There’s tinkering to be done here and there but she’s a real good ‘ol Jeep. Tires are brand new 35/12.5/15 Goodyear MTR Kevlar with zero wear.”

“1948 Willy’s Jeep CJ2A, Great Shape, minor rust on topper, surface rust on bed. Never restored, original flat head 4 w/ 64,000 miles. Runs and drives excellent. After-market blinkers. Includes original owner’s manual and Army Surplus defroster. New clutch installed several years ago, tuned up every year. Only driven in summer and kept undercover. Good, clean, honest Jeep. “Two for One – This great hunting jeep comes with a second jeep I bought for parts. Auto Trader Classics list this model as a collectors item worth up to $21,000 restored. I have owned it for 30 years and recently sold my hunting ranch. Runs good and recently put $1,600 in parts in it.”

“Ive got to sell my beautiful 1945 Willys CJ2A to make room for my side by side. Original 4 cal 6V civilian model 1st year they were built. It has been in car shows and paradise and also around the hills around Mesquite. Green with yellow wheels was the original color, pretty wild for 1945. It will take you about anywhere you want to go and always puts a smile on everybody’s face. A lot of fun and in great shape”
