Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Please don’t hesitate to make an offer!!This is the perfect collector vehicle for any Jeep enthusiast. Clean Michigan yellow paint top and bottom, undercoated. Black and white bucket seats with folding passenger seat. Small vinyl top, roll bar, all original guages. L134ci 4 cylinder with a T90 3 speed. Locking hubs, aftermarket turn signals, and flat style fenders. Restored about twenty years ago. Engine head planed with new gasket, custom fuel tank cleaned and sealed, new fuel pump and rebuilt carb about three years ago.Has not been driven as brakes have not worked since I’ve owned it. Did start and ran well after head, carb work etc.Converted to 12volt system. Needs brake lines, master cylinder and wheel cylinders replaced. Will need new tires and must be trailered. Incredibly low miles as used only on farm. Odometer shows 3000.”

“Jeep project has 44 rear axle ant 27 front matched set needs drums and bearings no motor or tranny. Saginaw low torque steering box already installed. Has ford small block motor mounts in it now. Frame is perfectly straight with no rust body is pretty rough could be salvaged. Custom made floor with gas tanks under. Good start to a cheap crawler project.First $450 takes it home. This runs and drives. The steering wheel is mounted upside-down.

1948 Willys CJ2A I started the mechanical and electrical restoration, finished many things, body is remaining main item. Runs like a sewing machine. Tons of new and replaced parts.
I work in Nashville Mon-Thu. during the week, so Friday, Saturday and Sunday is the only time to see / drive it. Sorry.

Here is a pretty detail list of work I have done to it already.
Rear seat and military spare tire do not go with it, they belong in another jeep of mine.

“1948 Willy’s Jeep CJ2, KEMCO All-steel cab w/bucket attachment, new glass, converted to 12V,new battery, rebuilt alternator, new regulator, new gas tank, cab heater, chains, heavy duty handyman jack, spare tire and 3 extra rims, tow bar, manuals and books. Good tires. I am selling this for an elderly friend that has owned this jeep for a long time. He has been working on the restoration and it ran before he started working on the new components. The jeep has been in the garage most of its life, so the body is pretty solid. Will make someone a fun toy.

Buick 225 odd fire, sm420 4speed, t-18 transfer case, Dana 44 with arb, dana 30 front with arb, full roll cage, power steering, front disc brakes, pianless wiring kit. Goes anywhere runs the rubicon with no problems. Street leagal. Very reliable. Lots more extra’s call for more details.”
“1947 jeep willy’s cj2a. Buick 225 with 4 barrel carb, headers, bran new radiator. Full roll cage, custom aluminum dash. I built this jeep to do all kinds of wheeling. It does great on the rubicon or similar rock crawling trails. Does well in the snow and mud, Or cruising the dunes or just cruising the back roads. It’s unstoppable goes any where, and it’s street leagal. No rust on it always garage well taken care of. No problem running at hwy speeds holds 65 mph all day long going up hill. But idles perfect for rock crawling, with the granny gear and 4:88 gears. Stays at 600 rpm’s and won’t stall out. I’ve never broken an axel or u joint in this jeep. In the sand and mud it has plenty of power and you don’t run at excessive rpm’s. the trany and gears are matched great for on and off road use. The motor runs great never have had a problem with it. It also has custom power steering. There’s a lot of extras on this jeep. A lot of time and money went into this willy’s I don’t wont to sell. But new baby is forcing me to sell my loss your gain. No text!!!!!!!!! 530 613 4877. 8500. You can’t build this for less than
30,000. It’s a great deal at 8500.

“Now my 1949 Jeep Willys is for sale. I owned this Jeep about 8 years and thought each year that I would be able to start restoring it, but it never happened. So I think it’s time for us to part ways.
Front fender was probably redone by the previous owner because it is strong and without rust.
Frame has surface rust, but nothing critical.
Same with the body – it’s not too bad for it’s age, but has some patches on the front floorboards.
For me it looks like everything is original.
I ran the engine last time 2 years ago. Engine is free and I’m positively sure that if I put in fresh gas and a good battery, it would start right up.
When i drove it around the yard 2 years ago, transmission and transfer case were working well.
No brakes.”
