Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Great project. Has rebuilt transmission and transfer case, new clutch kit, 12 volt starter, master cylinder, and the carb was rebuilt. Have all receipts for parts purchased. Parts are included but not installed. Original 4 cyl, ran about a year ago, before tear down for trans and clutch work. We started the work and fell into another project that caught our eye, this one has to go. There is a title from Louisiana, but it is not signed or notarized so it will need someone who is willing to do some leg work.”
This is rough, but there might be a few parts of value.

This CJ-2A has a rear PTO generator with a welder and a Oxy/Acetylene setup. It’s probably been upgraded to a F-head, but still a cool old setup.

“Just what you always wanted! A 1946 vintage jeep, in Korean War Paint, just like MASH.
Original 4 cyl go-devil engine and transmission. Runs great, uses no oil. three-speed, two and four wheel drive with high and low ranges.
I mounted a mock 30 cal browning machine gun and a mock-up BAR. Great for photo-ops. Has both traditional jeep beep-beep horn and Ugha horns. Plate is an original 1946, registered as a historic vehicle for on the road use”

“1946 Willys jeep with an old school repower. Has a 1950’s flathead ford engine, this jeep ran three years ago but needed a pull to get started. One head was removed to inspect the cylinders. It looks like this motor may have the original bore but is ready for a rebuild. The distributer was removed and is missing. I will throw one in if I can find one in the shed. The body behind the firewall is made of plywood and fiberglass, it was nicely made but alot of the wood should be replaced if you choose to keep it as is. Original jeep dash and front sheet metal is in good condition. The frame is mostly solid but does have some issues at the front of the rear leaf springs and it has been notched for the steering gear to clear the engine. The engine is coupled to the jeep transmission with a rare adapter. Will be sold with a clear 1956 Willys title. The buyer will have 30 days to pick it up, if you send a trailer I can help load.”

“46? WILLYS JEEP CJ2A CIVILIAN MODEL 4X4 HAS CHEVY V-6 ENGINE. THIS IS A PROJECT WITH NO TITLE. IT NEEDS A LOT OF WORK TO BE ROAD WORTHY. RUST IS NOT BAD FOR A MISSOURI VEHICLE OF THIS AGE. DOES NOT RUN BUT WILL TURN OVER AND FLUIDS LOOK GOOD. WOULD BE A GREAT HUNTING VEHICLE OR OFF ROAD TOY. (07/05/2013) This needs a wiring harness.
“This is a 1948 Willy’s CJ2A Flat Fender 4×4 Jeep. It looks like it was fully restored in the late 80’s. NO RUST!!! It has a Chevy 350ci Carbureted Engine out of a 70’s Chevy C10 truck transplanted in place of the anemic 4 cylinder these originally came with. The frame has been fully boxed in order to support this HP increase. The motor runs perfect! It has the original Borg-Warner T90 3-Speed Transmission and the original Dana Spicer Model 18 Transfer Case. It also has fairly new wheels and tires, long tube headers, soft doors, aftermarket bucket seats, Pontiac tilt steering column, Warn manual locking front hubs, and dual gas tanks.
For a 65 year old Jeep it is in awesome condition. These old Willy’s are getting extremely hard to find and will continue to increase in value. I bought this as a project and have completely removed the wiring harness. This would make a great father/son project. I am not in a hurry to sell and the price is firm. The only reason I am selling it is because I don’t currently have enough time to work on it.”

It’s a project.
I have a nice project for the jeep fan .. its mostly all there ..great fenders .hood.grill.head lights .one front seat .back fenders are solid . Some rust holes in floor pans . Mostly under seat area and where the original wood frame was ..its painted to prevent more rust . The windshield fram is intact but no glass with some small rust holes along bottom ..the frame appears to be real solid.. axles and running gears are there along with tranny and drive shaft..the motor is apart and stuck needs rebuild I’m working on getting it unstuck and completely apart ..really a good resto project ..the good thing its mostly complete ..its got all three number plates but i have no title .. in tn you can file for one if you need it or use it for parts ..asking 1450.00 or best offer”

A ‘shed’ find. I don’t see a body in any pictures.
“We found a Willys Jeep in a shed and have too many projects to get this one done. It has a couple of minor issues. First of all it is in parts which saves you the problem of having to take it apart in order to clean and paint the parts. Secondly we were unable to find the title. Near as we can tell this has been in the shed for a very long time. comes with a 7 foot blade. It does not have the front left fender. Get back to us to schedule a time to v=come and see this. We are asking $2,000 or best offer.”
