The seller lists this as a 1950, but it could be a VEC.

The VIN is on the edge of being VEC.
“This is a 46′ Willys jeep, this particular truck was originally equipped with a column shifter. The vin or production number is 29344, there are a set of axles that come with the truck but no suspension. It had a bent frame horn that I repaired before deciding to build a different truck. The body of this truck is ruff but it would be perfect to use a buggy crawler. Please let me know if you have any questions. Call or text, I’m up late 517-four20-8203”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2900.
(03/20/2012) This has an unusual lip around the edge. It also appears to have a replacement body, given the indents on the passenger side.
“very nice little jeep
Have 5400 in recipes from recent orginal engine rebuild, and a variety of other things done
orginal engine is board .20 over, and is now built to run on unleaded instead of leaded gas. also 12 volt system now
this thing runs great!! and drives awesome!!
Has full newer best top soft top and soft doors
Has back seat which you dont see very much on these very much
also has the very very rare side steps, that could be put on from factory
It won a trophy when i drove it in the medford cruise
top speed is around 59
don’t need to sell, love this thing to death. so don’t make any offer less then 2900”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.
I’m a little surprised the transfer case levers aren’t visible in the picture of the dash. Maybe they were shoved backward with the updated motor.
“cool 1948 CJ2A the first series of civilian jeeps, we have owned her for 20 year, was a daily driver, until we built a house and needed a pickup, so she was retired about 10 years ago, IT IS ON NON OP !! engine not running, probably from sitting , has original trans and transfer case, and has the f head engine , brakes still work, has some rust, but nothing that cant be fixed, must sell , asking $1200.00”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
The front frame horns and bumper look pretty good as does the rest of the jeep. The rolling chassis has value, too.
“Restorers dream with plenty of extra parts. I just started on this soon after being retired but! took a job in LA. Wife wants her garage back.”
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $3500.
Needs a paint job at the very least.
“A great project, lots of potential.
Runs and drives, good tires, Kaiser motor, great for deer lease, off road, has tow bar if needed, removable hard top and spare tire rack.
$3500.00 or reasonable offers considered.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6200.
Lots of mods on this crawler.
“This is a one of a kind Willys that was built by a former Dynamics Engineer at Jeep and he also owned Nth Degree Mobility. With a small amount of work this Willys would be fully ready to hit the hit the trails. The Willys needs to have the Carb tuned and a new battery installed (has bad new Optima). This Willys has been wheeled all over the country from the Sierras to Michigan. The vehicle was completely rebuilt about 10 years ago and then parked till 3 years ago when I purchased. I replaced and cleaned the entire fuel system and got her up and running, wheeled it, loved it but just do not have room for it in my smaller home with a growing family and another jeep. Make me a reasonable offer, title in hand.

From the inside this body appears to have the tool indents. It has the three data plates, too. It could be a VEC.
“1946 Jeep Willys running great! Registered. Single owner. 283 small block. ”
UPDATE: Still Available
(06/28/2012) No pics provided.
“I have a 1947 cj2a for sale, it’s all original it needs work good project, I’m asking 2000$ obo please e mail for photos and further information thank you”
No title. Now that’s a hood bump!
“1946 WILLYS CJ2A JEEP–$1500 OBO, this is my mechanics hunting jeep, I am listing it for him. Call Bryan at Bryan’s Automotive at nine-one-8-991-0-two-one-two, he can tell you all about it.
It starts, runs, drives, and stops great, 4 wheel drive works great, has a great running “F” head engine, (more power than the original flathead engine),T-90 tranny does not jump out of gear, (transfercase needs shift levers, they are included, you install if you want), never overheated while roaming around the lease for several hours at a time, tires are old, but have never lost air while he has had it, a spare will be included, has oil and temp gauge (important to have) changed to 12 volts with alternator and battery.
It runs great, but looks like _ _ _ _, well you know what I mean, looks good at 40 feet. But, the looks doesn’t keep it from running great and you don’t have to worry about scratching it up, …all in all, it is a great old jeep to just have fun with.
Does not have a title, bill of sale will be provided, I can get titles for around $200 extra if you want one.”
This has an early body.
“I thought I would throw my Willys on here to see if there was any interest. It is a 46, has a ford 302, ford 9″ rear end with a spool, dana 44 front end, dana 300 twin stick transfer case, and runs and drives pretty well. It does need some work. It could use new leaf springs (which I have) the lights wired, a little body work, and gauges hooked up. I was using it as a big ATV, but lost access to the land I was driving it on. I don’t have a title for it, but I can get one for it if that is a deal breaker. I don’t NEED to sell it, but I want to see what I might be able to get for it since I don’t use it any more. Don’t be afraid to make me an offer. It’s a fun little toy or a drivable project that would be pretty bad ass when it’s finished.
I’m asking $2000 or best offer”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5500.
(01/15/2010) There are a few minor things that aren’t original, but they aren’t any big deal.
“THIS JEEP IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. The Jeep is as original as can be. COLOR IS PASTURE GREEN WITH YELLOW WHEELS. L-HEAD 4 cyl MOTOR “GO DEVEL” 6 volt ELECT. in # 15775 column shift.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5500
(05/03/2012) This might have the original bumper behind the front bumper.
“1948 Willys CJ-2A, 4 wheel drive, runs and drives great, does not burn oil, roll bar, seat belts, CB radio, alternator, 4 cylinder, 3 speed, steering stabilizer, good brakes, wheel bearings, etc. Just a lot of fun in the summer!”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
(04/27/2012) This looks like a solid jeep that has had some work done to the body.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Though it is a CJ-2A, it has rear floating hubs. Maybe it’s a VEC?
“WW2 Willy’s Reenactors Jeep
Beautiful maintained 1946 Willy’s CJ2 Jeep
Friends you will not find another jeep this clean or cared for, I am selling this vehicle on behalf of a Veteran, they have to let this go, their lost is your GAIN! I have worked on this Jeep and personally know this Jeep for many years, the price is right on this vehicle. If you didn’t know this was a CJ 2 you would never guess it. Friends look at the WW2 Jeeps, they are going for over 20k, you can get into this one at half the price! Its a turn key Jeep!”
A MJ2A? May be partially disassembled.
“I’m selling a 1948 Willys CJ2A. I picked this up a couple years ago as a project, but it doesn’t look like I’m ever going to get around to working on it. It is painted to look like an MJ2A, but it is a CJ.
This should make someone a fun little project. It was running before I started to dismantle and I used to drive it to the store for fun. Body if fairly solid. Some rust on the undercarriage and some bondo work on the body. Not all original, but it still pretty nice. Has a nice little flat head 4 cylinder in it too. 3 speed manual trans. And lockable hubs via a shifter in the vehicle.
This could easily be modified to be a rock crawler, or taken out as is. Email me if you are a serious bidder only.”
Runs and drives.
“Asking $1200 O.B.O.
JEEP WILLYS 4×4
This 1946 WILLYS runs and lot drives(has no brakes, so cannot be driven over the road).
Has the original 4 cylinder motor.
The body has been cut on over the years, and mods made.
All original from the dashboard forward.
The frame is rotted at the left rear spring pearch.
The passenger side of the windshield is broken.
Four wheel drive does work.
Other than what’s listed above, I believe everything else is in working order.
HAS A CLEAN AND CLEAR OHIO TITLE!
This Jeep has been used at camp up until this spring when it made the trip home, and has always run good and rides well enough to do normal camp activities. Will not part out at all! If you need something off of it you have to take the whole thing. For questions or an offer text Todd @ 419-656-2597. Also, this is for pickup only. Unless compensated for fuel in a reasonable distance there will be no shipping of the vehicle. I will not work with any shipper, and payment must be made in cash on pickup. Thanks for looking, if need more pics just ask.”
One of the more unusual Camo paint jobs I’ve seen. It appears to have a wood front bumper.
“Jeep lovers and collectors, great deal, custom camoflage, good condition, needs TLC and fresh gas.”
Looks solid. Yet, it is missing windshield wipers. The drain holes are no longer visible.
“48 cj2a restored brand new orange twist paint new chrome spokes and wrangler radails, runs excellent, good solid drive train call with questions 701 840 0800 will trade 4 vintage race sleds,67 camaro paths”

This appears solid. In the new pics on the ad, you can see the rear interior wheel wells have diamond plating on them.
“1947 Willys CJ2A. Mostly stock. Fresh motor.”
