Alot of new parts( spark plugs, spark plug wires, points and condenser) all new brake system( master cylinder, brake shoes, wheel cylinders, brake lines, brake hoses and springs) runs really good and smooth also just had new starter put on! This is a project.
“1950 WILLYS flatfender cj3a… I took this in on trade, supposedly the engine had been rebuilt recently, the engine is a f head (not a flat head) and is stuck… It’s complete.. Has the transfer case for front n rear pto, it has 4 shifters… Has a soft top with doors.. Diamond plate on rear corners and sides…New springs/lifted…. Don’t have time to finish it.. The guy I got it from had the body off and painted the frame, front n rear differential etc… This is a solid jeep… All trades considered, but I am partial to old chevy’s… Please, if your offering a trade, be serious.. $2500 cash”

(10/17/2013) “1953 willys Jeep – Back on the market deal fell through
Off road Jeep with V-6 , winch, oversize tires, many spare parts and in good running condition. Mud , dirt , rocks sand this JEEP can handle it!
It has a military frame. Stock transmission, transfer case, front and rear diff. But the gear ratio has been changed to 4:27 and posi-traction front and rear {Powerlocks). Also installed 19 spline axles front and rear . Leaf springs are 3 inch lift comp springs very stiff. Engine is a 76 Buick v6. There is an adaptor between front of transmission and bellhousing”

Original flat head four cylinder engine
All electrical changed to 12 volt system with alternator
Still has mechanical fuel/vacuum pump but is not used , it is using an electrical fuel pump with in line fuel filter
All other mechanical has been gone through and serviced , all is in great working order
New glass and rubber
New hood tail gate and other body panels, all rust has been cut out and new panels welded in, and body work done right
Brand new seats”

(05/23/2013) The seller labels this a WWII Jeep in the Craigslist title, but it looks more like a CJ-3A.
“I have a Willys Jeep that would be a great base for a restoration project. The motor purrs, and was just put in after being gone over thouroughly. It starts quickly and idles effortlessly.
The body is a little rough, but everything is mostly there and needs only time and TLC.
You basically have to see it to assess what you need to do. It will make someone a nice project because the basics are all there pretty much. It is driveable as you can see in the pics.
Finding one of these driveable is rare (unless restored), and most aren’t even a rolling chassis.
If you want to see it, it will be at the Ripkin Stadium in Aberdeen, Maryland this weekend for the Military Flea Market. Come and see it and make me an offer !
I’m asking a very reasonable $3500 WITH TITLE ! GETTING A WILLYS WITH TITLE IS VERY RARE ! If I don’t sell it at the show, it will be back in Bel Air after Saturday.

“1950 willys jeep (full custom) all fiberglass body and hood, full roll cage with custom chrome storage racks that come on and off real easy with push pins, 383 strocked small block chevy, 350 turbo auto transmisson, optima battery,chrome fenderwell headers, dana 60 rear end and dana 44 front end, 456 gears, posi front and rear, chevy power steering, front disc brakes, custom aluminum dash with S&W gauges, double shocks front and rear, centerline rims, 17 gal stainless steel fuel tank, too much to list, real attention getter, less than 8,000 miles since built.”

Blaine spotted this great article on ‘hunting’ uranium in Utah. I’m sure there were many jeep used to explore southern Utah while chasing uranium, but finding pictures hasn’t been easy. “I have a classic Willys Jeep that I’m listing strictly because I need Christmas money and can’t afford the latest service needed on the Jeep. So, right away I should say that the Jeep does need to have the clutch done. Just started acting up the other day while I was driving it around. Really the only reason I’m testing the waters.
