“1952 Willys CJ3A Jeep 78 Iron Duke 4 cylinder 2.5 liter (90 HP, versus 60 HP from stock L-head; used in 80-84 CJs from factory) T14 3 speed, D18 2 handle transfer case, Warn overdrive (gear splitter) Dana 25/44 538 ratio.
Will do/maintain 60, but not really a freeway vehicle (ideal speed range 35 to 55-loves long rural roads). In the 9 years I’ve had this, only used 4×4 for snow. no off roading/mudding. 11 inch drum brakes. Saginaw manual steering. 31×10.5×15 tires (80% tread) Hood, grill, fenders & tailgate are original.
UPDATE: Still Available.
(11/07/2021) There might be some rust on the driver’s side or just peeling paint.

“1951 Willys JeepCJ3A nearly in original condition. Original 4 cylinder engine is strong, starts easy and runs real well. Solid body. New wiring harness that includes turn signal lights has been installed. A new speedometer/odometer was installed along with a new fuel gauge. New front springs and four new shock absorbers have been installed. Lap belts added. Four wheel drive operates well. There are locking hubs. New York registration and inspection are current. Clear title. This vehicle is an eye catcher and fun to drive.”
No pics provided. I”m assuming the 10-inch wheels are the width?

“Willys CJ3A 1949, L-head, 6-volt, rusty, non-op, clear title. 10″ wheels.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6900.
This body has the dash ignition hole for a 2A, so likely a 2A body. But, given the updates, it doesn’t really matter much. The gas tank has been been moved to the rear.
“Great running Willys Jeep! Clean OK title. Has a 283 Chevy V8 so it’s a bit of a hot rod. Body is in good condition. Paint job is just rattle can OD green. Tires are excellent. Tight steering and good brakes with new master cylinder. All lights including turn signals are functional. Seats were recovered fairly recently and it has seat belts installed for a bit of added safety. Drivetrain is stock other than the engine, so it’s geared low, but will cruise down the country roads nicely. Also has a PTO driven winch up front. Not interested in trades. No shipping, local cash sale only.
UPDATE: Price dropped to $1500.
(12/14/2021) Unclear how much value is here.

“1952 Willys CJ3A Jeep. Solid, but needs lots of sorting out. Been in dry storage for over 15 years, but ran well and everything except brakes worked well when parked. Original flathead engine replaced years ago with Willys overhead valve 4 cyl. A great project that needs a new home. May trade for a nice gas powered golf cart. Leave your contact information and we’ll get back to you with details.”
The body appears to be a 3A. I’m not sure why the chassis is being stored upside down? I figured that was just odd enough to post about it.

UPDATE: **SOLD**. Was $11,500.
Debbie is selling this nearly completed rebuild of a CJ-3A. It runs and drives, but still needs a few things completed. It has a new body kit.
“My husband inherited this Jeep from his father and was in the process of doing a complete restoration when he passed away suddenly. He was always a meticulous worker and I think the pictures of the frame, engine, drive train, steering and brake assemblies show the quality of work he did. He completed all the mechanical and electrical work.
The engine was rebuilt and I have the receipt from the machine shop. It has a Saginaw steering conversion, a new dual master brake cylinder, and many other new parts which can be seen in the pictures. I have many receipts for the new parts he bought and installed. The body that was on it when he inherited it was very rusty, so he bought and installed a reproduction tub, fenders and rear seat frame. He saved the original serial number plate and body number plate from the firewall of the old body. I have those and they will be included in the sale.
The hood, grill, windshield frame, front seat frames and tailgate are the ones that were on it when he inherited it. I’m sure there’s other work he did that I haven’t mentioned. The picture showing the Jeep running with the headlights on was taken in September 2021. It runs great and just needs paint, upholstery, window glass, etc. to complete the restoration. I’m hoping it will be purchased by someone who enjoys these old Jeeps and will appreciate all of the fine work my husband did. I have a clear Montana title in my name, the VIN on the title matches the serial number on the firewall plate I have. $13,500.00”
It’s a project.

“For sale: 1952 willys cj3a jeep. 6 volt. Clear title. Professionally rebuilt WO carter carburetor. New points ,plugs ,condenser and coil. Almost entirely stock except for oversized seats and swing out tire carrier. The gas gauge works sporadically . Probably a ground wire issue. I don’t drive it more than 14 miles at a time so has not been a problem for me. The only other suspect part is the generator. The jeep only uses the battery to start it unless you use the lights. I just charge it up once a week to make sure it’s topped off. Everything else works as it should. Garage kept and only taken out in nice weather. I’ve had fun with it for 5 years, time to share with someone else. Asking $11,500”
