This one has some 1970s era paint styling, so I thought was worth posting despite the fact that this sold quickly for $8500.
“Customized Jeep CJ-5, older renovation but still in good shape. Has dauntless odd fire engine with 3-speed manual with overdrive. I have not owned long and don’t know a lot about it but enjoy cruising around. Put a timing chain in it and new plugs when I bought it. Believe Radio works but no speakers, wiper motor needs replaced and steering is a bit loose, soft top in great shape with removable doors.”
TJ spotted this CJ-5 with a Sears Deluxe hardtop and Warn winch that’s part of an estate sale.

“1961 cj5. Has the inline four f-head engine with the three speed trans. Mechanically in great shape. Body needs rust repair but is still an original steel tub. I’ve installed tons of new parts to make it road worthy. All new brakes, brake lines, springs, hangers, new fuel tank, new radiator, new seats. I also have a soft top and soft doors for it. Just serviced all fluids, engine runs like a top, all gears high and low range work fine.”
Here’s another of the midwestern or eastern-made fiberglass flat fenders with the wide lip in the back. Listed as a 1953 CJ-3A, the chassis is actually a CJ-5 frame, so not sure where the “1953” comes from.

Ken’s selling his solid looking CJ-5.
“Cool classic vintage 1965 Jeep CJ5 4×4 with orginal 4cly engine and 3spd manual trans with dual range transfer stick. Has been restored to its glory with a set of corvette seats.(Have originals in great shape) Nice new wheels and over sized tires and a little winch on the front, also has removable half doors. Upgraded disc brakes in the front, It’s a very solid little jeep. Runs and drives great for being a 1965. It’s themed the “red rider” gets alot of attention. Very fun to drive. These were never ment for highway speeds so I wouldn’t recommend driving it on the freeway if you’re out of town. It’s geared low and is a blast to drive! Has a good clean washington title in hand. Asking $7900 or best offer! Cash talks. If interested call or text 5o9-460-3592 located in Kennewick 99336″
If this runs and drives, this might be worth a look.

“Has the transmission and transfer case in it. Does not have a title. OBO and open to trades”
John shared this one. This looks in good shape, though I think replacing that front bumper would help improve the look. That said, this jeeps is registered as a 1968, so not sure if that will cause a titling issue in some states.

“1957 Jeep cj5 Willys pretty original runs great started up after winter on first try with a starter fluid. Took her for a 15 minute spin with no issues. Four-wheel-drive, high and low works brakes have been fixed and stops as good as any car with 4 drum breaks. Willing to take you for a test drive. This is by no means a show quality restoration. Was done by a gentleman in Maine in a garage on a budget. Tub has been patched up. From 10 feet away. The jeep looks amazing. Great driver used it all summer last year. If you don’t like attention, don’t waste your time. This Jeep draw more attention than a Ferrari. If you don’t like attention, this is in the car for you. Got this Jeep to go get ice cream run with the kids. Turns out that I spend more time getting beer. If you have questions PM. Jeep is roadworthy and registered as a 68.”
UPDATE: here’s some additional information on the lengths of the jeep and trail.
Jeep is 18′
Trailer is 14′
Plus 5′ for the trailer tongue.
Grand total of 37′ long
(07/18/2024) Scott’s selling this unique combo nicknamed “Long Jeep”. The CJ-5 is stretched and includes a trailer for ferrying additional people. Email Scott at scottingrum @ reagan.com (remove spaces around the @) or via his cell at 217 712 0097
“Operation Long Jeep is for sale. It is a 1958 CJ5 stretched with matching Jeep-themed trailer for moving people. The 4 cyl F head runs great. The 4WD works great and there are dual rear wheels. It includes a the framing to install a canvas top on the jeep, but no canvas top is included.”
This has the early speedo, rear PTO, and a half cab, which appears to be a 1970s half-cab from Kelly, but I’m not a 100% sure on that.
