This has some floor patches, but might have some value is the engine spins.

“1965 CJ5. Has been sitting in a shed since the 80s. It does not run but I can’t see it taking much work to get it running. Body is very usable. Front floors have some old patches but its not in terrible shape. Rear floor is in good shape. Toolbox under the seat is decent just has typical hat channel rust. Nicest untouched original dash I have ever seen, not a single extra hole has been drilled. Still has original seats with whats left of the original fabric. Frame looks solid no holes or major rot. Rear springs have some broken leafs so they will need to be replaced. Fiberglass top is in great shape. Doors are rough on the bottom but can be fixed. Excellent candidate for restoration or get it running/driving and enjoy it just the way it is. $2800. Sold with a bill of sale only. Located in Connecticut”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $10,000. The seller no longer indicates the miles on the speedometer as “original miles”.
(08/01/2022) This looks like a good build, but the reason I am posting it is that, for some reason, it has a serial number tag that places it as a CJ-5 with a V-6 with emissions from around mid-1969 (8305017 360695). So, maybe this is a CJ-3A body on a newer chassis.
“1949 jeep cj-3a runs and rides great absolutely no rust it’s got brand new tires, soft top and is very clean for how old it is has Buick v6 with a manual 3 speed the title says 1970 to make road worthy but you can tell it is way older than that ….This jeep gets all the looks and is a great cruiser!!! Come check it out !!! ”
Sure looks like there is value here. I believe that is a Kelly hardtop.

“1966 CJ5 hardtop, has 60’s Ford inline 6, stock running gear, no rust, have wrangler back seat, extra body tub with front hoop roll bar and frame, doesn’t run but does crank, probably needs fuel system clean and points, brakes work”
UPDATE: Thanks to Roger Martin for taking some pics at this auction. It looks like there were plenty of bidders on the jeeps. Roger reports there were nine jeeps auctioned. The prices varied from $380 to $2000. The green jeep below was won with a $2000 bid (which included an extra running engine!). 3 of the Jeeps had PTOs.
This includes a new tub. It could be a good buy and project.

Bill shared this CJ-5 with some unusual sides on the back. It’s a project due to a thrown rod.

“Very clean and rust free frame and body on restored 1964 Kaiser Jeep CJ5. Recently threw a rod and original engine 3-speed manual needs rebuild or replacement. Have quote from local mechanic for engine rebuild of $8,000+/-. Beautiful head turner and weekend warrior vehicle. Always garage kept. Has Bluetooth-enabled Kenwood system. “Willys Jeep, first year for the CJ-5. Needs some work, but runs and drives. The body is pretty beat up, but the drivetrain is solid. All stock drivetrain, 4 cylinder "Hurricane" F-head and 3 speed transmission. I bought it as a project, but haven’t had much time to work on it. Now I’m moving in a few months and don’t want to take it with me. Since I’ve had it, I’ve installed Warn locking hubs, replaced the rear springs, a couple of U-joints, the fuel tank, and gauge cluster. The rear seat isn’t currently bolted down, but all the hardware is there. I believe it was restored at some point in the past, but the guy I bought it from beat the body up pretty bad off-roading it. Come take it for a test drive and make an offer”
Seems a pretty good price for a race-ready rig.

Maury shared this nice looking CJ-5. The current bid price is $11,000 (with 6 days to go). The stripes are consistent with a 71/72, but an original 73 ought to have a different stripe style, shouldn’t it? Maybe it is a 72 titled as a 73? Here is a look at the Renegade stripes: http://www.ewillys.com/2013/08/20/renegade-stripes/
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1973-jeep-cj-5-12/
“This 1973 Jeep CJ-5 is said to have undergone a twelve-year refurbishment completed in 2021 that involved refinishing the exterior in yellow, re-trimming the interior in black vinyl, and installing a replacement 304ci V8 linked to a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes 15” wheels, manually locking front hubs, a dual exhaust system, a black soft top and doors, Renegade graphics, black wheel arch extensions, and a roll bar. Acquired by the seller in 2022, this CJ-5 is now offered in Nevada with service records and an Arizona title in the seller’s name.”
