“This is a 1950 Jeepster that runs and drives great. It was in the same family for 40 years. It’s a nice daily driver at an affordable price. The engine has good compression (105 on all cylinders) and was probably rebuilt not long ago. The top and interior are nice and the chrome is very nice. It has an older paint job, that is not perfect. It has the same typical rust issues that most Jeepsters have, but would not be a difficult restoration. You could drive it and fix it up as you go, or just enjoy it the way it is.
This Jeepster is brought to you buy jeepsterjim.com. We are a full service, Jeepster Only, complete restoration facility. We specialize in 1948 – 1951 Willys Overland frame-off restoration of your Jeepster to include all aspects of a complete restoration. We can rebuild your engine, transmission, chassis, interior and all aspects of body work and paint. We can also do a partial restoration on any part of your Jeepster. We typically have a minimum of three Jeepsters undergoing restoration in our facility and maintain several parts cars for the hard to find items we need. This looks like a great summer cruiser.
“2 Door Convertible Roadster Phaeton Jeepster.
This is an “ALL STEEL” vehicle. No fiberglass or body filler. It is also a “Rust Free” vehicle with no body or floor panel repairs/replacements. The custom body work and paint job was professionally done in California before the current owner purchased the vehicle. Most likely around 8-10 years ago. The paint is holding up very well. There are no problems with chipping, cracking, fading, checking, fish eyes or orange peel. True show quality paint job. This all steel two door/convertible body is fairly stock. There are a few unique modifications that were done to the original body. The stock flat front ’48 hood and grille were replaced with more desirable, better looking ’50 setup. The hood then had “Louvers” cut into it. A custom front splash shield was also fabricated. The front turn signals lights where relocated into the grille area to help keep the front end clean looking. The rear portion of the vehicle received custom tail lights that were set and fitted into the body. The rear wheel fender skirts were welded in place. (Again, all steel body work.) It has smooth body lines with the front and rear bumpers removed. The two-tone color scheme was influenced by the gorgeous 1950’s Ford vehicles which use these colors. The ’57 peach color is called “Sunset Coral”. With a color as nice as this, A nickname was given to the vehicle. “Just Peachy” which is hand painted on the rear. The side metallic candy stripes are also outlined with a hand painted pin stripe which really makes the whole vehicle stand out. (much more about this on eBay)
UPDATE: Was priced at $11,995. **SOLD**

(01/23/2012) This project appears to have potential.
“THIS IS NOT A RUNNING VEHICLE. I have a project that I recently purchased that is just not a good fit for me or my garage right now. It is a 1949 2 Wheel Drive Jeepster by Willy’s. I bought a few months ago after it had sat in dry storage for a number of years. It looks like a mid 80’s restoration to me. The body is in remarkable condition and the vehicles is for the most part 100% complete (I threw away the top). It was originally a Butternut yellow color. The current paint is passable as driver quality. The running gear is a 1973 Buick 350 and matching bop transmission, the original rearend is still in the vehicle. There is a nice Ron Franicis wiring harness installed complete. The engine is out on a stand and needs rebuilt or go the SBC route. I curently have the front sheetmetal off and stored, there is no radiator. All of that said this a really fun vehicle that would be great with a little work as a driver or do a complete restoration. I am not selling because I need the money and the price is reasonalbly firm. I am however very open to trades which might include: 68-72 Nova, second gen camaro or other muscle cars,”
Glenn wrote this nice story which was published in the June 2010 issue of Jeepster News.

EAST MEETS WEST – 6000 MILE JEEPSTER EVENT By Glenn Byron
Sometimes we take for granted the many benefits our membership in WOJC [Willys Overland Jeepster Club] pro- vides. For example, that booklet you received titled “ WOJC 2010 ROSTER” is just something that arrives. Larry & Shirley Wozniak volunteered a bunch of time and effort to get this quality product to club members. Using it as a tool is a bonus for paying our meager dues. Let’s look at where this can take us. Recently, in planning for a cruise to visit our 50th state, Hawaii, I noticed a scheduled one day port call in Honolulu.
Just for kicks, I grabbed that Roster to see if we had members there. Garage tours and visits with other enthusiasts are always great sidelines to get away from usual tourist activities. Sure enough, all of Hawaii has one lonely WOJC member, Randy Spangler, right there in Honolulu. A quick email to Randy to intro- duce myself and inform him of my visit, yielded a friendly response with encourage- ment to see what we could put together. Nothing concrete, just loose parameters to keep both of us available as all the unknowns could allow. Our first port was Hilo, on the big island of Hawaii, with Honolulu, on Oahu, the following day. “Call me from Hilo and we’ll see what the cards hold” was Randy’s invitation. Here’s how it came down.
ABOVE: Randy Spangler’s Island Cruiser, a ’50 Willys Jeepster mounted on a Chevy Blazer chassis- A great performing unit for Boulevard or Beach.
Three couples on a cruise ship make too large a load for a Willys Jeepster, so careful strategy had to happen to be sure no one felt compromised. The girls were anxious to see Waikiki Beach, and with great personal sacrifice, I crossed that off my list. The other two guys, though not car oriented, agreed to back seat status and a full load resulted. Contact with Randy was made from Hilo and plans laid down for Willys Jeepster to meet Golden Princess at the dock in Honolulu. How’s that for a welcoming committee? Heads turn when ever we put our Jeepsters on display, but this may be a first! Randy’s 1950 Jeepster is especially suited to the hustle and bustle of Oahu gridlock traffic.
Plenty of work done, plenty left.

“The Willys Overland Jeepster is extremely rare and prized collectable. This is an older (15 year) restoration of an Arizona car and would rank about 6 to 7 on a 10 pt appraisal system. It has a Chevrolet 350/350 combo w/Mustang front end and disc brakes to make it a really good driver. Only 5500+ miles since restoration but it has been in locked dry storage for many, many years and that takes a toll. Vehicle is fully set-up to tow with a built-in tow bar and transmission drive shaft disconnect; you will also want to take note of the very unusual swing-away fat man style steering wheel which alone would fetch about $1000 due to condition and rarity. It is believed that fewer than 1600 Jeepsters remain in the world. This Jeepster is stored in Smith River, CA and is available for inspection by appointment. This is a very attractive price intended to move the vehicle now; so call now and enjoy the beautiful spring in a great 4 seat convertible.”
