“Frame Off Restoration, One of a kind!! It’s a perfect sample of a true collectable. Restoration cost over $70K, on this beautiful Jeep.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $3000.
Must have an updated motor since one of two heads is cracked.
“52 Willys has a Marine Corps vin. Put new head gaskets, freeze plugs and valve cover gasket. Passenger side head is cracked. I just don’t have the time to fix it right now and need the money and it gone.”

It needs some work.
“1952 WILLYS M38 JEEP . Has been in storage since 1976. Original 4×4 drivetrain except motor. Has 289 ford motor conversion kit. Runs excellent, has edelbrock intake setup with cam and headers.Solid tub, original gauges and equipment holders. This was a civil air patrol jeep. Needs brake work”
Appears rough.
“I have a M38 Willys Jeep that I have started to restore so it is partially disassembled. The engine and transmission is almost ready to come out to be rebuilt. The attached photos are of BEFORE restoration was started. This is not a running jeep. If you are looking for a project, this is a good one. I am not desperate to sale and will not give it away. M38’s are some of the most rare jeeps ever built. If your a preeper you will like the old school technology in this jeep that makes it Electro- Magnetic Puse (EMP) Resistant. I just don’t have time right now to finish the project.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $6500.
(06/21/2015) Listed as a 1949, it looks more like a M-38.
“49 willies jeep runs and drives great”
Appears to be some value here.
“Needs complete restoration – some body rust; not running. Late 1940’s CJ2A, needs restoration, engine did run; 3 speed trans bad. Late 1940’sCJ2Afor body parts – no engine or trans. Selling
all three for $2,000.”
It’s a mix of parts.
“This Willys is a true survivor. The id number is a MB number, but is considered a 1947 by the DMV. The tub is a MB. The jeep was modified for a film to look like a M38. The driver side has been smoothed over with bondo at some point, but the ribs for the tools can be seen on the inside.
The window is post war as well as the M38 grille. The jeep will need to be seen.
It needs tlc for sure but is a driver.
I have the window rubber, just no glass.
The engine is what I can best figure is a 1953 F-Head Hurricane engine. It has the generator, but is wound to a 12v system.
It has Model A tail lights.
The tires are new as of July 22nd. I also had Willys hand painted on the rear tailgate, as well as a personal tribute to a fallen family member, as well as a WWII Kilroy was here.
I am also having the rims painted green this week.
I am fixing it up as I keep driving it. If it doesn’t sell for my price, I will be fixing it up and keeping it.
The footlocker doesn’t go with the jeep.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $900
(07/06/2015) It’s a project.
“I’m selling this Jeep being I was going to start it as a project but don’t have time now that I am a student. It comes with a 4 cly flat head that should be good or that is what the last owner told me. There is a parts engage as well but ether way both will have to be gone through. All the drive train is there and the body will need work however its a good start for a project car. I am not interested in trading, cash only please. I have the title in hand.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
It’s a mix of parts.

“Runs and drives great.frame off restoration 15 years ago.used very little since. Mileage unknown.”
Titled as a 46 CJ-2A, the seller reports it is all M-38. Maybe someone swapped a VIN plate from a 2A to the M-38 for title purposes.
“This is a very nice Willys, it runs and drives and stops great and is a lot of fun. The body is straight, clean, and has no rust or dents. It has an after market m38 body on an m38 frame but is titled as a 1946 cj2. I have owned this jeep for 3 years and have had my fun with it. It drives straight down the road and the 4 wheel drive works perfectly. All fluids have been changed, new plugs, wires, oil bath was changed to oil filter with braided lines, new water pump, new starter, new fuel pump, shocks, tires and wheels, brakes, brake lines, axles were rebuilt with Warn hubs and the electric system has been converted to 12 volt. Comes with extras including Tiger top soft top with doors, the top is perfect I just like going topless and the jeep sits in a heated garage when I am not driving it. I also have a total of 10 wheels and tires 5 have about 800 miles on them and the others are the tall skinnys . I have the rear draw bar, spare tire holder, jerry can, old oil bath, 6 foot Western snow plow that was never installed, extra carb, and a box misc. parts. Now the bad, it has the typical jeep leaks, the bottom seat covers are torn but foam is in good shape, and the e brake is not installed but I have the parts. This thing is a real head turner and a lot of fun.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $925.
“I have for sale this willys army jeep. It has a general motors 153 four cylinder in it. I have not had the engine running, but does turn over. It has rust through on the body, but can be restored. It has two data plates on it that have matching serial numbers. It has several good parts on it.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7000.
It sure looks like there’s been nicely rebuilt, though not perfectly stock. It could be a good price.
“Beautifully restored 1952 Jeep with tow bar attachment. Runs and looks great. Original motor, military tires and much more. No trades or PayPal.”
Neither has a title.
“I’m selling my two 1951 m38 willys jeeps. The green one has ran recently and has a ford 2.0 liter engine working 4wd and fairly new tires. The other one has a flathead engine and transmission removed mainly good for parts no titles but will give bill of sale trades possible”
