UPDATE: The GPW was reconditioned by Bechtel. It was listed at $7000 earlier this year. There also appears to be an early MB No-Glove-Box body.
(05/11/2013) “i have a complete ford 1942 ww2 jeep it is complete minus top and back seat i have done alot of research it all checks out the classic F marks are everywhere including most of the bolts the motor has the correct GPW# anf the F on the head air cleaner is early model it seems to be just as the bethal co.refurbished it after the war in 1945 all the data plates are original it has been taged and reg. for over 65 years.i have just been cleaning and stripping old paint to find all the F marks and bolts it runs and drives i will consider serious offers as is for the next 2 weeks then i will do a frame off restoration,PLEASE DONT BOTHER WAISTING TIME.if u dont know the value look it up. “I have a 1943 Jeep with front mount snow plow for sale. Jeep starts and runs, however the front wheels are not getting power, might be an easy fix for someone who knows what they are doing. “1941 Willys Jeep body on a Fuller built 90 inch WB chassis, Wrangler springs front and four link and quarter elliptic springs rear. All Toyota running gear including 22RE, Toyota 5 speed trany, Marlin Crawler 4.7 transfer case. Toyota CV joint drive shafts, front and rear.Toyota cable operated locker in the rear with a trutrack in the front. Toyota power steering, cross over to Sky Manufacturing High steer arms, one ton tie rod ends. 35 12.5 15 BFG KM tires with 32 bolt beadlocks. It weighs 3040 lbs wet. 10 gallon fuel tank with a screw in cap, no leaking, like most old Jeeps. 1941 Ca license Plate The front and rear seats are covered in top material that has a 10 year guarantee in the sun. It has onboard air! Seats 4 grown ups.
It does the Rubicon with ease as well as Foredice creek. It did the Pipe Jam trail In less than an hour. With 5.29 diff. gears and 35 inch tires it is geared just like a stock Toyota Pickup. it is a little too soft to drive on the street at speed. Add one more leaf to each side of the the rear suspension and it is a great hwy runner. I have the extra leafs”

“1942 Willys Jeep, 350 small block chevy engine, 4 speed manual with twin stick t case, 4″ lift 1″ body lift, 33″ tires with good tread, No top or doors, this runs excellent, shifts well, goes down the road like a 1942 Jeep would 😉 I bought this to tinker with over winter and fell into another project I’ve had my heart set on for months and finally got the guy to sell it to me so, sadly this has to go, and fairly quickly as I’m out of space and don’t want to have to store it. I have fixed a couple oil leaks, the carb is fully rebuilt, it still needs some odds and ends but this is a great novice project,as it’s easy to work on! This jeep was a project my husband was working on. Due to his passing it remains unfinished. It needs a few additional things done. I know it runs well.
