PapaJack spotted this cool find. They seem a pretty good price considering they both run. You might remember this unusual jeep also from Hawaii listed last night (& just down the road from Kona, Hi).

“1944 Willys Jeep without motor, not parting it out, $500 takes the whole thing. Good for parts or restoration. $500 I have the title ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
The engine isn’t original.
“Running and driving WW II Army Jeep. It has a Jeep four cylinder engine but not the original flat head. The brakes need work. The body has rust and will require repair if it is to be restored to as new condition. Still has its original identification tags affixed to it and has a California title. The Ramsey winch works. This is a project and is priced accordingly, if you’re looking for a mint condition Jeep then this is not the one for you.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000
It looks like there is value here.
“1948 Willis CJ2A Jeep – complete with Sears hardtop. To restore. Does not run. Also, 194? MB Military Jeep- for parts or to restore. Both for $1000.00”

Looks nice. It is a no glove box MB.
“¼ ton 4 WD General Purpose Truck by Willys
LATER KNOWN AS A “JEEP”
Original, numbers matching 4 cylinder 60hp, 134ci L-head (Go-Devil) engine. Early SLAT GRILLS had no glove box, they had a round muffler, oil bath air cleaner and filter, rubber hood bumpers, solid wheels, three bolts spare tire carrier, no blackout driving lamps, no gas can holder, makers name was embossed on the rear panel and a slat grill on the Willys. As noted by the S/N the Jeep is an all original slat grill. The air filter is original to the jeep and is known as an oil bath air cleaner. The frame and body parts are all original (I have pictures available upon request).
The wheels are not “Combat Wheels”, but civilian wheels. Combat wheels were “Not of Issue” on prototype Jeeps. The reason being Willys also made cars prior to “¼ ton utility trucks” standards set by the US Government. To meet the demands of the government contract, they had to bid the entire Jeep under $400.00 a unit and in order to stay under budget; they sold themselves Willys automobile wheels in the very early production (VEP JEEP) versions.
Jeeps were notorious for not stopping very well, so I used 1954 Ford brake drums and pads to make them safer on the street and in parades.
I also converted the original voltage regulator/electrical system to a modern day 12 volt electronic ignition system for added dependability. The early Slat grill had no spare tire holder or exterior gas can.
Only 200 slat grills are estimated to have survived through 2006, according to Army Motors, the official magazine of the Military Vehicle Preservation Assoc.
The last Willys Slat Grill was S/N 125807, this is S/N 124833 and was delivered to the US Army on March 5, 1942. Full restoration was completed 2009 and she has appeared at hanger dances, parades, Veteran’s Day events, air shows, USO shows. It is a show vehicle, not a ramble through the brambles and the bushes jeep. It is “period correct” complete with 48 star flag, all canvas top, shovel and axe attached to side, and a copy of a M1 automatic carbine for the dash. I’d challenge any potential buyer to find another Jeep in such good shape, with all the parts present and as nice as this one. If it were perfect, it would sell in the neighborhood of $40,000 just like the Barrett-Jackson Jeep did last month.”
No pics. I’m not sure what is here.

“Ok here goes… To the best of my knowledge this is a 1944 willys military jeep. Vehicle has no title and is being sold as parts. Gussett no. is 244,0xx. Some one has done extensive modification to this jeep ! get ready ! Its got a f-85 olds six cylinder engine (non running) A PTO SHIFTER AND THE PTO GEAR BOX FROM A CJ JEEP. (Drive line currently to PTO gear box is hooked into axle winch). The pto gear box seems firm but the Pto shifter wont shift with normal pressure, im not going to force it ! possibly will need dismantled and gone threw or may just need cleaned Extra rear axle converted to a winch with lots of cable, the winch cable is to the front of the jeep thru rollers. Electrical plug in socket in rear panel( I beleive this is origional) IT ALL SO HAS A CORVETTE T10 BORG WARNER TRANSMISSION, WAS FOR 1963 IMPALLA 409 SS or corvette 327 APPLICATION ORIGIONALLY ( T10148B T10D-1) the transmissions origional tail shaft is now replaced with the transfer case and PTO to make every thing in sinc. There are a lot of extra parts that go with the Jeep,i wont list but you will see in pics. this jeep also has a tilt steering colum ! I beleive it has a m38 windshield. Ive discribed jeep the best i can, between pics and discription you shoud get a good discription, That said vehicle, or parts come with no warrenty . If jeep doesnt reach reserve, but if i so choose to still sell to higest bidder, the transmission will not be included in sale, but will be included for a additional 600 dollars.”
