Bill sent a link for Iron City Garage, a unique used vehicle business that both sells vehicles, with a guarantee that the title is good, and rents them for photo shoots and other events.
The business’ goal is to take some of the risk out of purchasing a used project. The owner writes in the about section of the website, “Believe me, “winning” the bid on eBay is just the beginning. Out of the 10 vehicles I’ve bought online myself, 9 have turned out to be completely misrepresented. When we offer a vehicle for sale it is ready to be delivered and pushed into your work shop because we have eliminated any of the risks involved with electronic payments, titling and shipping.”
Iron City currently has a 1950 truck for sale $7500: https://www.ironcitygarage.com/store/p208/1950_Willys_Jeep_Pickup.html
UPDATE: Pics added (Thanks Steve). It’s a CJ-5

This nice looking truck is a Willys body and look adapted to a 2014 JK Chassis. No doubt it cost a few bucks to assemble. The result sure looks nice. Note that the whole truck had to be widened.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $12,000.
I can imagine the seller put time and money into this rig.
“1961 Willys Jeep Pickup truck. Restoration began with a near perfect rust free vehicle. Project was finished more than 20 years ago. Only 11,784 miles were ever put on the truck. And that was occasional driving for the first 3 years. Mostly to and from cars shows, truck shows, and parades. Then it went into storage for a few years. And for the last several years, it’s been parked under a shed. Time for a new owner.
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Craigslist links no longer work.
(09/13/2020) There’s some wagon and truck parts, a split flat fender body, and some random parts.
“Willy parts, Ford parts, Chevy parts boat parts, motorcycle parts, tools you name it we hope we have it for sale.”
Blaine spotted the auction for this nicely refurbed truck. Current bid is $5000.
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1947-willys-truck/
“This 1947 Willys Jeep Truck is a first-year example that was acquired by the seller in 2016 and subsequently refurbished at The Jeep Farm in Waddell, Arizona. The exterior was refinished in Bedford Grey with Challenger Blue accents, and the interior was reupholstered in Pendleton blanket fabric and blue vinyl. The 2.2L Go-Devil inline-four was resealed, and sends power to all four wheels via a three-speed manual transmission and a Spicer transfer case. Work in 2020 included a carburetor service, wiring repairs, coolant flush and some paint work. Approximately 2,350 four-wheel drive Willys Jeep Trucks were made in 1947 and this example is now offered with records, a reprinted owner’s manual, and a clean Arizona title in the name of the seller’s LLC….”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4000.
This might make a good restore or drive as is. Looks straight and appears to lack rust.
