I spotted this unusual wagon at Jeep Forum.
It runs.
“This is a 1959 Willy’s Wagon 4×4 with Over-drive and a V-6 engine that starts and runs. I wouldn’t call it road ready, it needs tires, rear springs re-arched or replaced and brake work but wouldn’t take much to make it work. The drivers side floor does have some rust. I don’t know much more about it since I got is as part of a boat deal and thought I would re-chassis it since it all seems there. I felt too guilty to tear it apart after getting a restoration book so it needs to go. It is 4×4, has over-drive, all the chrome, trim/bumpers and the glass are in pretty good shape and the oak strips in the back look good too. I’m not trying to sell something its not, it is what it is and would be a fun project. Call or email me if you want any more information or pictures of something specific. The title is clear and good. I’ll even throw in the restoration book too if you want it! (9 two 8) 3 zero zero-3 9 five six.”
I can’t quite tell if there’s much rust or not, but it runs and drives.
“Jeep runs and drives good. Has straight 6 engine with 3 speed manual transmission. 4×4 work. Has original owner manual. Does not look so good (see pics). Price is $1500

This past weekend Pete, from the Old Willys Forum, drove down to the 2nd Annual Willys Moab Rally 2011 put on by Casey Dimmitt. He reports that they had plenty of fun and wished they could stay longer. Pete put this video together (I think to make us all jealous so that we’ll join them next year!). Thanks for sharing Pete, I love that area!
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000

I think this looks interesting. It appears to have been customized a little years ago.

Craig spotted this cool image of an unusual “Eat More Bread” delivery truck. He believes it was shown at the Chicago Auto Show in 1960. I looked through the Chicago Auto archives, but didn’t have any luck finding other examples of it.
I found another example of this rig in “The Story of the Jeep“
According to the CJ-3B Page, Willys-Overland considered a large delivery truck back in the erly 1940s, but apparently decided not to pursue them at that time.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4000
At the very least it needs paint and glass. Other than that it appears a good deal of work has been done.
“1950 Willys Panel Delivery: Extremely unique running and driving project. Makes a great ratrod, or take it to the next level for a sweet street rod, lots of potential!
The top is chopped (excellent job), windshield is in, no side windows or rear windows, flat glass – should be inexpensive to have glass cut for it. It has shaved door handles, custom front and rear bumpers, wood floor in rear, bucket seats, console and a tilt steering column.
Small Block 318 w/automatic transmission, dual exhaust, no smoke, no leaks, no ticks, runs smooth.
I have the other 2 matching “old school” wheels that match the rear.”
I got no words . . .

Here’s a very nice wagon over at jeeptruck.com. This might be a Maverick? Someone who has a better eye for identifying these will have make the call on that.
“All original well maintained 1960 Willys Wagon 4 wheel drive. 46,000 original miles.
Super Hurricane 6 cylinder, 3 speed manual transmission. Very clean, runs perfectly. Stored indoors, includes original Owners and Service Manuals. Extremely hard to find in this condition. Minor blemishes in paint/body, No evidence of any damage or repair.”
This looks like a great restoration candidate.

1961 4×4 Wagon for sale. Current CA tags and could be towed on the road. It’s been updated to 12V and has a 1966 AMC/Jeep 232 ci 6 cyl OHV. Has overdrive.
Has ALL trim on sides and rear and good lic plate holder. Tailgate has only surface rust and is VERY straight as is the rear hatch.
Doors are good, not rusted out and has working handles and windows. The bumpers are chrome and willl be some work then re-chrome.
