“Cool classic vintage 1965 Jeep CJ5 4×4 with orginal 4cly engine and 3spd manual trans with dual range transfer stick. Has been restored to its glory with a set of corvette seats.(Have originals in great shape) Nice new wheels and over sized tires and a little winch on the front, also has removable half doors. Upgraded disc brakes in the front, It’s a very solid little jeep. Runs and drives great for being a 1965. It’s themed the “red rider” gets alot of attention. Very fun to drive. These were never ment for highway speeds so I wouldn’t recommend driving it on the freeway if you’re out of town. It’s geared low and is a blast to drive! Has a good clean washington title in hand. -both early Dana 27(upgrade)/41 offset axles with upgraded 11” Jeep brakes + lockout manual hubs

-Battery relocation to the rear
-Upgraded aluminum radiator and high placement alternator bracket.
-JUST INSTALLED new fuel pump, filter, new 235/75/15 tires and round hole steel offset pro comp rims.

-Chevy steering column and manual steering box w/ added cross over steering linkage upgrade

“1962 Jeep FC.Originally a 170 model,I took the bed off and shortened the frame. I had this PARSON’S 6FT utility bed I picked up years ago and I put them together. The utility bed had a missing door so I made one and just need to cut the hole for the latch and install it.. Minor rust on both the cab and bed.. Some rust above windshield. Most panels are straight. Missing drivers glass. The 80 year old previous owner installed a 67ish chevy 250/th350 and wired himself with this brother.. They installed a 8.8 rear end but left the front axle. This thing runs and drives well,stops well. Has manual steering but it’ll put hair on your chest! The only thing is that it runs a bit hot,I just installed a 16″ electric fan and it can idle for a while but if you drive it kinda hard,the temp creeps up.. I think I needs timing and maybe more airflow since the bumpers kinda block that… Great for your business. No trades..”

“Up for sale is a 1946 Willy’s Jeep CJ2A. Included are 2 full engines, 2 full transmissions (1 top and 1 side shift), 2 full transfer cases, and a Borg Warner overdrive. As you can see everything is in pieces (thanks to the previous owner) but from what I can tell all the major components are here for everything. I also have a brand new transmission and transfer case rebuild kit which I’ll throw in too! According to the previous owner it ran when he took it apart.

The body is rusty but due to being in California it is in fairly good shape. There are a few holes here and there, a few patch jobs, and a few Bondo jobs, but overall seems solid (I can jump on the floor and remain standing).

Feel free to ask any questions and I’ll be happy to answer what I can. A flatbed will be required to pick up. I may be able to help with transportation for the right price depending on the distance.”

May 1956 Willys Service and Parts News

After a few dud issues, this one has a few interesting items. Page two devotes almost half a page to Vacuum Power Brake Kits, like the kind that was installed on the DJ-3A when we bought it. This article shows that their installation was more common than I suspected.

On page four, there’s an article about the new “Fresh-Air” heater and cab ventilator and some of its advantages, along with a kit number. Also on page four, there’s an interesting article about the top bow rear brackets. First, their installation was cancelled in late 1955, but then Willys reversed that decision and added them again. So, there are some stock models made 1955 that didn’t have them.
