Josh has five original Bristol Wrenches for sale. He writes, “The Bristol wrench have long been sought by the tool guys with GPW’s and MB’s. They are often substituted for a modern reproduction or even Allen wrenches in displays shown at shows. Until recently no one had actually found or seen a correct size wrench with only the ends fluted as called for in the original Willys factory drawings. After consulting with more than one tool expert, confirming measurements, actual use, and discussion with the surplus dealer, we do believe these are the real deal. I can also confirm the BRC uses the wrench and suspect the MA should also as they are both T84.”
“You are buying 1 BRISTOL WRENCH used on T84 TRANSMISSION SET SCREW. WILLYS MB FORD GPW JEEP TOOL KIT. Wrench is stamped 41-W-2459, Dimensions 2-5/8” long & 15/16” wide. (Original US Army Surplus). You will receive an unused wrench as shown in the last picture.”
One of the two jeeps has a title.
“I have two 1946 Willys jeeps for sale. They have been setting up for a couple of years. One in great condition for its age, the other one is a little rough. I will take $3,500 for both obo. The green one has a title, the brown one does not.”
The body has drain holes, but looks MB-like otherwise. Might be a replacement body.

This jeep is powered by Studebaker.
“This is a project I started years ago, but don’t have the time for now. The engine is a 1950 Studebaker Champion straight 6. The engine was running, the Jeep T-90 transmission and the transfer case are good. The Studebaker clutch is bad. Overall decent shape.”

Ann and I have been busy with Rusty today. We removed (no easy task given the damage and rusty bolts) the grille and are ready to straighten it. Ann removed the rear tire, lights, and funky rear tow setup. We bought a battery, changed oil, etc. We learned that the starter spins and the engine turns over smoothly. The fuel pump works, too, but there’s no spark to the plugs just yet (seems to be the points — coil is working).
Here are just a few pics.
The rust areas in the center are rusted through. The cargo area floor has a similar sized rust problem. Both appear patchable. Ann did all this work.
This is my wife’s blood. I told her to stop bleeding on the jeep :-)
UPDATE: Still Available.
(09/23/2016) Looks like a solid build. Not much MB left.

Newspaper Ads in 1965 & 1966 championed the CJs and the V-6 power plant, calling it The Flying Jeep. This first article was published on August 21, 1965, in The Evening Independent.
The Toledo Blade published an article two days after the one above, noted that Kaiser Jeep faced a new competitor, the Ford Bronco:
This ad was published in a variety of newspapers. This particular one appeared October 12, 1966, in the Southeast Missourian.

“I have a 1948 Willys cj2a “lefty” up for sale. Very rare. Only a hand full were made with the spare tire on the left side of the jeep. Has the L head 4cyl, runs good, drives good, all of the brakes are brand new, lines and all, front brakes have been converted to cj7 disc brakes.
Brand new set of super swamper tsl’s.
The floor pans were replaced about 10 years ago so there is no rust in the floorboards. But for some reason when they put the new floors in the did not cut the old floors out, so it you look under the jeep you can the old metal.
Has a 3000lb winch, has a heater, and also has a bestop soft top and doors that are about 3 years old. So she’s good to drive in the winter. The heater will burn you completly out if you let it.
Needs minor little things. It could use a new tie rod to the pitman arm,( there’s some slack in the steering)
Not a very good paint job on it.
And it smokes out of the tail pipe alittle bit until it warms up. Other than. It is an absolute BA piece of history with lots of life left, and it extremely fun to drive. Would make an awesome restoration, but heck it’s still awesome if you like the rugged history look.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $11,900
(03/29/2015) Has some unusual customizations. The Dash and windshield are both altered.
“Facts: Engine – Chevrolet 350, 3 speed w/ overdrive, winch, air compressor, 28 gallon gas tank, micro lock brake system, power steering, radio/c.b., 2.5″ body lift, 33″ tires, custom paint job. Custom everything around ever corner of the Jeep.
The gentleman whom I bought this Jeep from a year ago really did a fantastic job. He stripped it down and rebuilt it part by part while fabricating along the way. He was a true craftsman. It’s a head turner and random people will be asking you questions or giving you thumbs up on every drive you take. The straight pipes really sound amazing. Why am I selling it? There is too much going on in my life at the moment and I simplifying a bit.
If you’re interested or have questions, shoot me an email. No joy riders or bums. Bums with $ – ok!”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
