(06/02/2016) Needs some work. I suspect that M-38 body isn’t original to the chassis.

“This is a 1962 Marine variant M38A1. As such, it has the original stock front and rear lift rings, extended rear bumper, front/rear limited slip differentials and late model air cleaner. The entire vehicle was restored as an off-frame restoration with all mechanical and electrical aspects rebuilt. Jeep has 16,500 miles on it and runs as new. It was originally marked as USN in forest green but was restored with USMC markings. Most likely originally a Seabee jeep. Hood number is actual original. Asking $12,500.”
UPDATE: Still Available.

“This is a 1954 CJ-3B with an F-134 Hurricane 4 cyl, T-90 Transmission and D18 Transfer case. Starts instantly. Runs, drives, shifts, and stops.
Frame:
Overall excellent. Some rust in spots but no rot or evidence of repair.
Body:
Looks good at a glance but does have a lot of patch panels and bondo. Depending on your plans the body is solid enough for a “driver” quality Jeep but beyond that it is questionable. This would be a good candidate for a new repo tub or better donor tub. My guess is the existing tub would be more effort that it is worth should you remove all the bondo, patches, and try to restore to original. Tough to tell for certain until you get into it though.

Nick’s got an update on his APU:
“Last week the stars aligned for the Valentine APU. For months, Tom and Arno have dug through vintage photographs and literature to see what the correct generator was for the NA-4 APU. We finally had it figured out: a Jack and Heintz G32. What would you know, a single G32 was actually for sale on eBay! It was unreal.
The owner purchased the generator from California where it was completely rebuilt. His original plan was to build an electric car with it, but the project was never started. Having original paint was the cherry on top!
This weekend I pulled the PTO system off my Jeep and unseized the shifter. Everything else worked great. The generator slid into the shaft like a glove, and the bolt pattern was perfect. I still can’t believe it.”
Looks like a good price.
