“They are hard to find because only about 50,000 rolled off the production line. This is a great Jeep that my family has enjoyed. I’m selling it because I’ve moved onto another custom Jeep project so no room for this one in the garage. It is not in perfect shape or a show room car but for its age it is in good shape. I think the thing has been painted 3 or 4 times so the body is mostly rust free as well. there are a few areas that looks like some rust got painted over but it is isolated and was that way when I got it and has not grown (I have some pictures if you would like to see) Want to be upfront about everything. “I have a 1957 Willy’s Jeep CJ-6 for sale. It has a clean title and is currently registered as a horseless carriage in Colorado. It could also be registered as a collector vehicle depending on your desired use. For completeness it is registered as a 1954 Willy’s. This was the case when I acquired it ~2 years ago. The research I have done on the serial number/VIN suggests it is actually a 1957. This is not an issue I just wanted to highlight what I know.

I purchased it ~2 years ago. The previous owner had done quite a bit of work on the vehicle. What I know of what he did is listed below. Overall it is in really good condition. I have replaced the battery and it starts right up every time. It does not have power steering or brakes. It is a great off road vehicle as is, or is a great starting platform for an even better off road build. It has great dimensions for an off road build. The extra 20” in length over the CJ-5 provides considerable stability. Can also be driven in town and would be a fun show car.

The brand of the top is Meyer Cabs. Came off of a 1974 CJ5 but Meyer Cabs were mostly built in the 1960s and only for CJ5 and CJ6 Jeeps.”

“Time to sell this thing. This is the longer tub and wheel base cj6, very rare! It has been converted to a small block Chevy 350 with a 350 trans. There is lot of stuff I have done to it over the years. If you show up I tell you about it then, Lifted, converted, susp stuff, frame, etc. . It will climb straight up a wall though. The seats are sunburned, need to be replaced or covered. Starts right up , runs good. 8500.0”

“that’s right, the rare CJ6. this is a hell of a rig, one of the survivors. the douche that sold it to me 2 years ago didn’t tell me that the engine was in need of a total overhaul. SO, that’s what it got. still the same engine that came with it from the factory, but has been rebuilt and runs like a champ. this has an auto trans, and the seats (that someone went through a lot to fabricate) allow more leg room than i’ve ever seen in a CJ at all. they need to be recovered, but are an amazing upgrade. wheels could use a sandblast and re-coating (paint or powder coat) the tire rack is made to hold a high lift, a shovel and an axe. body is in amazing shape for the age. full soft top and doors, zippers are not that great but work well enough. has a set of half doors also. full roll cage.

this is an amazing rig. and after i had the cracked head, and shot pistons replaced during the rebuild it’s become one of my fave rigs.

NEEDS- Shocks, better tires. larger fuel tank (personal opinion)

got the rig broken for 6k, and put 3k into it. it’s a jeep, and i know i wont get my money out of it, but it’s worth what it’s listed at. tire kickers and people that complain about dirt will get laughed off the property. it’s a jeep, i expect jeep people.”
