“1945 Willys MB Jeep and matching 1945 Bantam trailer. It runs and starts great and I have driven it over 40 miles at a time with no issues. I have a clean title for the jeep but not for the trailer.
The jeep has a newer overhead 4 cyl (3 speed) and hood has been modified to fit over it. I have another original flat hood that hasn’t been cut if you want to make it stock (with a couple changes to the engine). The rest of the tub is in great shape and it has newer brakes, lines, pads, springs, ect. It also has 2 combat style rims installed but I have 4 additional ones (very hard to find) if you want to paint and install on the jeep and trailer. Continue reading
Gary’s out camping with his wife and 1948 CJ-2A in the Shwangunk Mountains of New York. The platform and tent all fit in the jeep. Looks like a great summer getaway!
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $44,000.
Looks like lots of work was put into this Slat Grille.
“Willys Slat Grille DOD 12-24-41 National Show Winner! A rare opportunity to buy a true blue chip grade WWII Jeep! Slat Grill WWII jeeps are considered by many collectors to be one of the most desirable & valuable of all war time jeeps. This particular jeep was delivered on Christmas Eve, which is quite cool by itself. Slat Grilles are known for their long list of early characteristics. These parts are quite rare and demand big money when sold. This jeep has all those items correctly done. The list includes: NOS A/C air cleaner, solid wheels with Good Year tires, gas & amp gauge, early thin needle speedo, early round exhaust, early type radiator, hinged filterette box, zippered bottom seat cushions, early type T-84, early Ross steering box, scalloped rear axle shafts, split back seat frames, two hinge tool box doors, early type hood, early type intake manifold, early type rivet oil pan, early type leaf springs (fronts are NOS), early pedal pads and arms, early type battery tray, Purolator oil filter, early generator, & small dip stick, Willard Optima battery, etc… This jeep would be very hard to duplicate today and the cost would easily exceed $75K. If you have additional question please call.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7950
(07/28/2015) Looks like a solid build.
“I have for sale a 1952 Willy’s Jeep. It was restored about 10 years ago and still looks great. You can see in the pictures the paint is great and the top looks almost new. It has been modified and a GM V-6 engine was installed. It still has the manual 3 speed transmission and front and rear axles. It has front disk brakes and stops great. As you can see it has 60 Chevy truck tail lights, dual exhaust, and a roll bar and seat belts has been installed. The interior looks great and has a center console which is a good place to mount a radio of your choice. I drove the Willy’s to the cruise-in at Northern Tools in Burlington last Saturday evening and this little Willy’s ran great and will draw lots of attention. Even though the seats look great I have another complete set of seat covers that will go with the sale. Also included is a Bikini top that has never been installed on the Jeep. This Willy’s is a outstanding driver but with a little detail could be made into a show car. I am retired and can be reached most of the time by phone or email but please NO txt as I do not answer txt.”
Mark just posted this over at sellajeep.com. It seems to have a mix of 2A and MB/GPW parts.

Just in time for hunting season”
It doesn’t run at the moment.
“I am selling my military MG Jeep. It has new brakes, 2-new gas tanks (1-orginal tank and 1-CJ tank) The starter has been rebuilt and there a new flywheel ring gear ready to install. There are also several other parts included. This Jeep ran very well, when last ran, with lots of power. I haven’t started it since I rebuilt the starter because I didn’t get around to putting it back together. I was looking forward to getting this rig back on the road but I just have too much other things to do. I have had this jeep for around 12-14 years. It has always been kept in covered storage.”

In 1959 Belleview Manufacturing introduced an electric winch. The company sold them (6000lb and 8000lb versions) through Warn Industries, since they manufactured other products for Warn also. However, based on the ad below, they may have marketed them to other resellers, since the ad doesn’t mention Warn at all.
The ad below was in the March 9, 1967, issue of the Sundance Times, a Wyoming newspaper. By the time the ad appeared, Warn had already purchased all the Belleview Manufacturing Stock, as the small caption below Thurston Warn’s photo indicates (which is on eBay). The next year, Thurston Warn became President of Warn.
That first pic is particularly neat.
“1942- Pair of press photos showing U.S. troops moving a jeep across river by wrapping the lower part in waterproof canvas and “poling” it through the water. Photos measure approx. 7″ x 9″ ”
Based on the chrome front bumper, this CJ-5 might have an early Tuxedo package. It also seems to have an extended bed on the rear. There was a note on the back of the photo that suggested this might be part of the Jeep Jamboree.
“1963 Press Photo Jeep El Dorado national Forest – This is an original press photo. Jeep El Dorado national Forest Photo measures 10 x 8inches. Photo is dated 08-04-1963.”
