(07/18/2013) Rare KEMCO top?
“1948 Willy’s Jeep CJ2, KEMCO All-steel cab w/bucket attachment, new glass, converted to 12V,new battery, rebuilt alternator, new regulator, new gas tank, cab heater, chains, heavy duty handyman jack, spare tire and 3 extra rims, tow bar, manuals and books. Good tires. I am selling this for an elderly friend that has owned this jeep for a long time. He has been working on the restoration and it ran before he started working on the new components. The jeep has been in the garage most of its life, so the body is pretty solid. Will make someone a fun toy.
Looks like a good price. Double check that the hub holes are large enough for the jeep. No pics provided.
“Set of 4 15 inch 5 X 5.5 inch BIG BOLT Ford bolt pattern . Need paint. $100 or make offer.

The body appears sound.
“1948 Willys Jeep 4 x 4. Great rust free body; partially restored with many maintenance parts (have all the receipts). All original sheetmetal and in great shape. Low miles. Available anytime to show it. Please respond with your contact info”
Looks like a nice roll cage.
“This is an original 1947 Jeep Willy body (I may be wrong on the year, I do know it’s in the mid 1940’s though). It has been sitting on the property for years and will never become a project for us. It’d be great to see someone build this beauty. As you can see from the pics it has some gauges, original fold down windshield, among other things. I didn’t bother cleaning it up to show because if you’re looking for a project like this that wouldn’t make any difference anyway. Also have the frame for it too. It was attached, but to move it down here from WA it had to be separated. The frame isn’t included in this add because we may try to sell it seperately unless someone makes a reasonable offer for both. Asking $750 for the body/obo. If you are interested or would like to see it you can text or call me anytime at 623-565-1892, my name is Don (text works best for me).”
Glenn spotted this rare winch for sale. I need to locate a brochure for this brand.
“Tulsa 8000lb PTO winch w/roller flairhead & over 100′ of 3/8” cable. Heavy duty winch that works well. Also have a PTO for a 1948 up Ford F1 to F5 4 speed. $650 Possible trade for guns. Leave message 952-496-0672 Jeff”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7500
(09/05/2013) This looks solid.

“1947 jeep willy’s cj2a. Buick 225 with 4 barrel carb, headers, bran new radiator. Full roll cage, custom aluminum dash. I built this jeep to do all kinds of wheeling. It does great on the rubicon or similar rock crawling trails. Does well in the snow and mud, Or cruising the dunes or just cruising the back roads. It’s unstoppable goes any where, and it’s street leagal. No rust on it always garage well taken care of. No problem running at hwy speeds holds 65 mph all day long going up hill. But idles perfect for rock crawling, with the granny gear and 4:88 gears. Stays at 600 rpm’s and won’t stall out. I’ve never broken an axel or u joint in this jeep. In the sand and mud it has plenty of power and you don’t run at excessive rpm’s. the trany and gears are matched great for on and off road use. The motor runs great never have had a problem with it. It also has custom power steering. There’s a lot of extras on this jeep. A lot of time and money went into this willy’s I don’t wont to sell. But new baby is forcing me to sell my loss your gain. No text!!!!!!!!! 530 613 4877. 8500. You can’t build this for less than
30,000. It’s a great deal at 8500.

My kids will be spending time with us for the next few days. I am thankful for that!
I’ll update posts during our drive to Seattle mid-day on today (Wednesday).
Everyone in the Navy jeep seems happy.

Marc found this photograph. These jeeps are being shipped from NJ to Capetown, South Africa. The caption notes that vehicles are getting shipped internationally, despite the need for vehicles in the US.
Doug spotted this neat photo of a Cape Cod Sand Dune Tour Wagon.
“Original 35mm film slide.

1. Cast NellyBelle $48:
2. Roy Rogers Horse Trailer and Jeep $90: I checked eBay and there’s a similar one listed at $125. It looks like this is missing the top of the box.
“Roy Rogers Horse Trailer and Jeep (NellyBelle) in the original box (top flap of the box is missing). Includes Trigger, Roy and Pat. Only $90.00.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Wayne points out that the skid plate was optional. This is one nice Renegade (though an imperfect restoration to stock). My only question about this is the lack of the protective skid plate underneath the gas tank that bolts between the back of the frame and the cross member in front of the tank (something my 1973 CJ-5 had). (here’s a stainless steel version of what I mean)
“This week Canyon State Classics brings to market an awesome example of a 1974 Jeep CJ-5 Renegade in stunning condition inside and out. This Jeep was bought brand new at Galloway Motors on October 3rd, 1973 by Mr. Thomas Payne of Tucson. This Jeep has Southwest desert area its whole life and is completely solid and rust-free, and still retains its all original steel tub with no patch work. This little CJ has just come out of the collection of a 35 year Jeep dealer and expert who just recently completed a full frame off restoration on this gorgeous CJ-5. He stated that he believes the miles are original at under 40k, as he knows the Jeep was off the road for the better part of 25 years before the restoration. The vehicle has been carefully restored to like new condition!”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.
Here’s another shortened wagon.
“Perfect winter project . Neat little custom Willys panel wagon . Not sure what year it is . 50’s? It’s a little ruff but with a little TLV , you will have a neat little run around jeep .”
This does not run.
“Up for auction is my 1959 Jeep FC-170. It does NOT run. I bought it to be the “shop truck” for one of my business’. I can use the space now more than the truck.
I have a clean California title for it. On the title, it states that the truck is a 1959 model and first sold in 1959. The license plate and vin numbers match what is on the title.
I found this truck sitting on a large ranch here in Northern California. There is 60,500 miles on it and is ok condition for being an old ranch truck.
So far I have done the following; New spark plugs, New points, New condenser, New cap and rotor, New choke cable, Rebuilt the carburetor, Brand new dual diaphragm fuel pump (fuel and suction for windshield wipers), New fuel filter, Pulled the fuel tank, cut open, cleaned to new, welded back up, re-installed with new rubber straps, cleaned all hard fuel lines, and New ignition switch. All that is left is to address the cooling system. I would flush and replace water pump and thermostat. Im a firm fan of doing everything correct. I restore and build motorcycles so I bring that same attention to detail to everything I work on. (caseyandersonmotorcycles) to find on the net. The engine turns over nicely and the transmission and transfer case shift just fine. From what I can tell all gauges work (at least, not broken).
Body is ok. The worst is the bit of rust on the roof where it meets the front windsheild (driver side). The glass is great. Yes, little dents here and there. Doors shut nicely. All linkages (steering, shifting, accelerator, etc) all move nicely”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2250.
If it includes the winch, this looks like a good price.
“HAS A 4 CYLINDER FLATHEAD MOTOR THAT RUNS GREAT.
NEEDS NEW BREAK LINES
****READY TO GO IN MUD NOW****”
This needs the tranny reinstalled. Might be a good price. The paint scheme is unusual.
“1956 jeep willys in good solid shape new top and new 33 x12.5 inch mud terain tires the tires and top alone are worth $1500it has a chevy 350 that runs good and a painless wireing harness jeep is in good shape but will need the trans reinstalled i have lost interest and don’t have the time to put it back together the only part needed is the throughout bearing complete these jeeps go for up to $8000 if you are interested call Todd @ 608 37zero 3182 price is firm I would rather not store it for the winter project truck project car project jeep rat rod off road”
For the price, this seems like a good deal. Unclear to me what’s wrong with it.
“It’s a 72 hunter green Wagooneer with a 360 v8 , turbo 400 transmission, and a Dana 20 transfer case. it has a Dana 35 front axle with lock in- lock out hubs, and a Dana 44 rear axle with posi-traction. It has a two inch lift with 30×9.50×15 mud king mts with 95% tread, wrapped around white wagon wheels. The motor has been rebuilt and has roughly 3,000 miles on it and the rest of the truck has 153,000 miles on it. The body has a couple dings in it but nothing terrible and needs a paint job and a radio since the radio has been stolen. It’s a very solid truck, just needs some tlc, price is negotiable call 334-399-0730”
This is listed as a “1945 Jeep”. Could be anything.
“Willy jeep decent shape turns over $1500 or Obo call 573 587 1044”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
“Now my 1949 Jeep Willys is for sale. I owned this Jeep about 8 years and thought each year that I would be able to start restoring it, but it never happened. So I think it’s time for us to part ways.
Front fender was probably redone by the previous owner because it is strong and without rust.
Frame has surface rust, but nothing critical.
Same with the body – it’s not too bad for it’s age, but has some patches on the front floorboards.
For me it looks like everything is original.
I ran the engine last time 2 years ago. Engine is free and I’m positively sure that if I put in fresh gas and a good battery, it would start right up.
When i drove it around the yard 2 years ago, transmission and transfer case were working well.
No brakes.”
No pics provided.
“All parts available except tub. Good grill, hood, cowl/dash, excellent rolling frame w/ springs, axles & steering gear, transmission, Hurricane 4cyl block, head, carb, starter, clutch, water pump, etc. Will separate. calls only please.

(10/21/2013) This does not run at the moment (clutch out).
“Jeepers, creepers, have we got something for you!
Our Dad had a 1946 Willy’s Jeep that he cruised around the farm in. This vehicle has some emotional value to us, but things change. We had this Jeep tuned up several years ago, new military style tires (about five miles on them), and a new 6 volt battery, but alas the clutch went south. We discovered in the back corners of the barn additional parts such as: gas tank, radiator, front fenders, windshield, hood and front grill. We are motivated to sell, and would like to sell as a complete package. There is no title.”
This weighs about 250lbs. In August a bumper was listed that got a bid as high as $400. This one begins at $150. One day left.
“JEEP WEIGHT, FITS CJ’S OF THE 1947 ERA AS IT CAME OFF A 1947. WILL FIT ANY OTHERS THAT HAVE THE SAME DIMENSIONS IN BETWEEN THE GRILL AND BUMPER , AND BETWEEN THE FRAME RAILS AS THAT IS WHERE IT BOLTS TO. WEIGHT IS TO PROVIDE EXTRA TRACTION, IT MUST WEIGH ABOUT 200#/250# THAT IS A GUESS, BUT IS VERY HEAVY. THE HOLES YOU SEE IN THE TOP ARE HANDLES TO PICK IT UP AND PLACE IT IN POSITION TO BOLT TO FRAME. THIS IS A PICKUP ONLY! IT HAS BEEN STORED INSIDE, AND IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. SOLD AS IS BECAUSE OF AGE. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK THEM!”
