Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1946 CJ-2A
-Original Motor turns over freely and had it sputtering, but probably needs the carb cleaned / replaced.
-Axles look like they are from an early 70’s cj.
-Body is rough, but salvageable. Definitely needs a good amount of repair.
-Frame looks good, no major work needed.
-Transmission is locked up from sitting, but transfer case seems good.”

I will be in Seattle for a week or more at the end of July, beginning of August. I’m pulling Biscuit’s engine and replacing the TH350 tranny for a T-18 (still have to locate that). I’ll also be dropping by the Northwest FC Get Together in Tacoma in early August.
On my way to Seattle, I was hoping to drop by the MVPA’s international convention in Portland (July 25-27th), but now am not sure whether I’ll have the time or not. Anyone going to that?
I’m guessing this is most likely a CJ-2A, but I can’t tell for sure. Auction is Saturday, July 20.

Here’s a nice looking service jeep created from a MB or GPW.
Mark spotted this unique jeep in a gift shop in Sparta, Ontario, Canada. He also spotted the motorcycle.
He writes, “These are hand made displays. I thought that they were very interesting. However, priced between $50.00 & $100.00, I declined my temptations. I felt that the money would be better spent on maintaining my jeep.”

I can’t say I’ve seen many of these hardtops.
“Very rare 76-86 Acme fiberglass hardtop with doors for cj5. New exterior paint and in excellent condition. All glass is good and door glass opens freely. This model has the lower windows in doors, so easier to see the ground. Took me two years to find this one. Sold jeep and now have extra hard top.”

“I can only tell you what I know about this and it isnt much ! Original trans/transfer 3 speed with a C-4 is what the mechanic said. It had a Ford 289 engine in it but had been removed so no engine now. Bodywork started and it realy looks good. 33×12.50/15 inch tires with aluminum slotted mag wheels. some extra parts.
