(12/04/2012) Pretty pictures, but not too helpful for buyers.
“Running out of room for fun cars so this one has to go. New or rebuilt in the last year: radiator, carb, distributor, coil, plugs, wires, engine seals (except head gasket) including rear main, axle seals inner and outer, brake master and wheel cylinders, brake lines and hoses, tires and tubes, full top bow set, canvas half cab. Lots of fun, reliable, and safe with recent brake work. Rust through on passenger floor (approx 8″x1″) and tool box (entire bottom) that does not affect body integrity, otherwise just surface rust here and there”
UPDATE: Was on eBay. **SOLD**
(12/17/2012) How about this rebuild? This pickup started as a rusted out shell with a possum living in the engine bay (see pics)!.
“This Willys PU started as a rusty bed-less hulk from a farmers field. A possum made his home in the engine bay and was not happy when I removed his home. Over 13 years, the necessary garage was built, the Willys was disassembled, reconstructed, modified and brought back to life again. The original chassis and drive train was discarded in favor of a more modern and safer chassis in the form of a 1983 Chevy Blazer chassis with torsion bar front suspension and front disc brakes. The Blazer front differential was removed to allow more engine room, making this truck a 2WD. The Chevy rear drum brakes were retained for simplicity sake. The rear axle differential was traded out for a 1974 Chevy 12 Bolt with a 3:73:1 ratio for good performance and fuel mileage. Power steering is provided by a HydroVac booster and steering box from a Chevy AstroVan. The chassis was stretched 17″ to match the wheel base of the Willys. A 1998 Chevy 355 create engine, complete with A/C, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold and Edelbrock 600 CFM carburetor and block hugger headers, was mated to a performance enhanced rebuilt 700R4 overdrive transmission and installed in the chassis. Dual 2-1/2″ exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers completed the chassis.
Two more Willys PU’s were located and purchased to be used as donor vehicles for an intact interior, complete with all trim items and additional body items as needed. . . . much more on eBay”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
The original Broward County Jeep Tram was launched by Hugh B. Cramer in 1946. Hugh brought five jeeps with him from Buffalo that could be linked together and drive out onto sandy beaches.
Hugh’s plan didn’t succeed, but a jeep tram did root itself in Hallandale. According to this article, the jeep trams were begun in 1982 as an adjunct to the bus system, but this photo suggests it happened earlier. The city paid for the majority of the costs. As of 1990 the trams were still running based on the picture at the bottom.
1. “You are bidding on an original press photo from 1980 featuring Tram in Hallandale. . Photo is 10” x 8” in size.”
2. You are bidding on an original press photo from 1990 featuring Voyager Tram… Broward . Photo is 10” x 8” in size.
UPDATE: Price dropped to $11,500.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
“Original 1947 model New Mexico Willys Jeep CJ 2A . It has a 3 speed floor shift standard transmission and original flathead 4 cylinder engine. All lights work as they should as well as do the original gauges. Mileage showing 42157 however the speedometer cable was broken at the time I purchased it. Therefore I cannot know actual miles on vehicle. Color-Dark Green and not the original paint. Other non original items include, new seats, new gas tank installed approximately 10 years ago, as well as the 15 inch wagon spoke wheels. The original 6 volt battery and generator system has been updated to a 12 volt battery with an alternator. This is a major improvement for faster more reliable engine starts. The original element style oil filter has been replaced for a more efficient screw on style of filter. The jeep has been kept in my barn for the past 35 years with very little use. The jeeps starts and drives very well. Cons- The jeep does have the usual oil drips of a vehicle the era. It will also jump out of second gear as it gears down ( not in the powering up motion) which I understand in not unusual for this particular model.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was listed at $8500.
Check out the hydraulic system in the tool box.

“For sale is a 1955 M38A1. I have not done anything to it other then get the engine running. I have videos of the motor running that I can send you if interested. Motor runs really good. Did a vaccum test and compression test on the motor. Vacuum test showed a steady 19 inches which falls into the correct range of 17-21. Test showed no signs of problems using steps from original maintenance manuals. Compression test results were Cylinder 1- 80psi Cylinder 2-50psi Cylinder 3-100psi and Cylinder 4-105psi. Cylinder 1 and 2 are low due to a loose head bolt between both cylinders. Block needs to be tapped to correct broken thread for that one head bolt. All other head bolts are good. Parts on the motor in video are not included, see pictures. What you see in the photos is what comes with the jeep. Hard to see in the pictures but included are fenders, grill, and hood. I do have additional small parts that we can discuss adding to the jeep if interested. Previous owner started the body work but did not finish and undercoated the bottom of the body. Still needs work but in a lot better condition then most projects. Glass in windshield is good. Check out other photos for the additional parts. Please email me for any questions or additional photos. I can provide more detailed pictures of anything you want. I will provide my phone # in an email if interested in talking. Comes with Bill of sale only.”
