UPDATE: Sold for $6100 on eBay
The serial number is 13359.
“The Jeep starts and drives, but I am assuming that after 65 years it might need to be rebuilt or maybe not. there is not much rust on the body, the under carrige has been repaired in the past and will need to be repaired correctly if your looking for a perfect example of a Jeep. It has the original Plow and Winch. Plow works perfectly and so does the winch. Its all original. The floors look to have been rusted and patched a long time ago. The Top is perfect, and so are the seats, I can send more detailed pictures to any buyer via e-mail upon request. Also the transmission is not an automatic its a 3 speed manual on the column.”

This has some unusual mods. I’m not sure what the ‘stripes’ on the side are. Nor am I sure what is on the hood.

This might run with a little work.
“Our old farm jeep with winch actuated plow. Used for years to plow drive. Has deluxe hardtop (roll down windows), new old stock heater installed 2 yrs ago works great. used up until last year then it wouldnt start. over the summer I stole the fuel line and one of the wheels rusted thru and punctured the tube. We are not on the farm anymore and I dont want to mess with it, just want it gone. This was an old farm jeep so if something rusted thru it was cut off and what ever was handy was welded in its place. My son and I painted and installed heater two years ago.
4 wheel drive works fine has 4 cyl with 3 speed and dual stick transfer case. I have an extra engine I got from a buddy when I helped pull it (it was running) and install a buick v6 in his. so i took the 4 banger.
$750 OBO or trade for your ?????”
This looks in good shape.
“Hi, this is a very nice 1955 Willys cj5. The speedo says 42,800 miles and I believe it accurate as I am the 3rd owner and the last guy had it for almost 20 years. Also, the frame is NOT rusted out!
Smooth running f134, 3speed, CLEAR TITLE, “Tank Top” topper (made here in KC), heater, front tow bar, rear HD trailer hitch, new tires, new starter, runs great!
This is a very clean Willys with rust only in the “tool box” under the passenger seat.
100% ready to roll!!

Update: **SOLD** Was $1000
Based on the number on the passenger side, I believe this was raced at one time. It would have been an Eastern Washington jeep (Region 4). The top appears in reasonable condition. It either has a DJ or a CJ-3B windshield.
“1952 Jeep Willys Project….Engine is in the back seat……Donated to us just as you see it…… Call or come see it.”
With out the quarterpanels, this looks like it has no pants. However, it runs and drives (in the yard).
“This Jeep has no title just bill of sell. Does run and yard drive 4 cyl. 3 spd, needs break work. Rusty but would make a good 4+4 farm vehicle !!! * 828-244-7120 *”

UPDATE: Still Available
(12/03/2011) It’s been modified.
“I built this tub years ago for a rock crawler, and never finished it. Now the tub is sitting in my back yard rusting. It would make a killer rat rod, or finish it as a Jeep.
The entire floor has been replaced with 14 gauge diamond plate, and the rear has been moved up 6″ I have a windshield frame, grill, hood, a set of fenders, and a tail gate to go with it. The fenders are kind of beat, but the rest is great. Asking $500 for all of it, and will not separate! So far it has very minor rust, that’s only on the surface. I don’t have any pix in it’s current state, but can get some if you need them.
I do have all the paper work for a title on this one, so it can be street legal!”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $700

Tonight’s updates went a bit off course as I found myself exploring the archives of Mechanix. Check it out as they have some really cool stuff!
